[3.4] Teleports Behind You - Poet's Pen Lightning Warp & Arc, MF / Facetank t16 / Shaper / U. Elder

I see a lot of people running Golems in their builds. Personally I found upkeeping them to be more effort than they were worth. What would you guys think of dropping the golem to run like Vaal Grace? I would consider Vaal Haste but it would bring my attack speed too high.
What's wrong with my current setup? Can't tank bosses t15+, looks like lacking in LGOH. cant sustain my 4.6k hp 2.2k mp unreserved

Nothing! Looks good to me. You need more Life I would think. Expensive Abyss Jewels are a good source of that.

Not quite sure on the Bloodrage shenanigans - I presume you have that going to use the Arakali pantheon? I hope you are aware that bloodrages damage doesnt procc Immortal Call on its own? Makes it a bit risque in my opinion.

Aside from that: Use evasion flasks and add a blind in your barrage setup.

I played this build before and tbh I found the OP a tad missleading with his Minotaur 'facetank'. He is lucky with his dodges and only able to do that while his flasks are up. Minotaur without flasks would splat him - pretty sure. Did go that way for me most of the time when I played this. Also cant do it when Minotaur has a 'blind on hit' mod going.

€dit: I am also a bit confused where the U.Elder kill is on this character? It says in the header he can do it - but I have not seen it. :(

Don't bother with PowerSsiohon. It's hot garbage for this specc.

It's projectiles cant hit one target multiple times - killing your boss LoH. The Power Charge generation is wonky at best since your arc will kill enemies off - not Power Siphon - which is what you would need if you want the Power Generation to work. (also if you really need Power Generation that bad just get a Poet's Pen with that corruption). Anyhow: The Orb of Lightning isn't there for Power Charges in the first place but for Arcane Surge.
Culling Strike Support isn't just in for Culling strike - quality on it gives you attack speed...

I agree when you're running solo - it sucks. When you're in a group it's fine cause you're not the one taking all the damage so you don't necessarily need all the LGoH that barrage provides. Rav and I tried it a lot last night and it seemed fine. Then I ran 5-6 guardian maps this morning and wow, what a difference. The moment I put Barrage back in the tankiness came back.

I wasn't even running the Orb of Storms/PCoC/Arcane Surge setup in this Maze of the Minotaur run and it was fine. I was able to absorb the hits and come right back up to full life very quickly. I wasn't able to do that with Power Siphon.

The only thing that stands out to me is your life to mana ratio. Your mana doesn't need to be that high, and your life should be higher. You might want to try and tweak that as much as possible to get closer to 5k life.

Maybe the boss issue is how you're fighting them? I found that trying to attack with Frenzy to get the charges up and then go barrage was more of a hassle than it was worth. Try just with Barrage and see how it goes. And if you like that, then maybe setup a CDDT/CoH setup in that Frenzy setup.

This isn't a true facetank but I didn't really move much or use any defensive flasks (other than the life leech in the 2 flasks) in this Minotaur fight.

We don't. IC is just used so we don't get one-shot. It doesn't last long but it does work for the default duration of .4 seconds.

Hi All,
First of all, thanks for the build. One of the best I have been playing. A lot has been already written, but some small remarks that OP may consider in an update.

A lot of people complain about the price, getting the Choir, etc. It can be greatly mitigated with other gear choices. The only required items are the Poets. In the beginning, Doedre's Damning + Doedre's Scorn + 2 curses: Warlord's Mark and Conductivity/Assassin's Mark will give you tons of leech and nice DPS - all for few alchs. I was running this setup till mid-yellow maps, and the only inconvenience was bossing when I had to switch from HoT to ball lightning as a spell cursing on hit. The QoL improved a lot after getting Mind of the Council, but this meant drop in DPS. Since I had great mana leech, I dropped Warlord's Mark, and for the life leech, I used Valako's Sign. In PoB, it gave more DPS than Berek, and I bought almost ideal one for 30c. For DPS I used Marylene's Fallacy - almost perfect one 1c. Since, contrary to OP, I have rather mediocre jewels, crit multi from Marylene's Fallacy gave me more DPS than Choir, which I acquired later. The crit chance was managed by the gloves, on which I have crit strike against shocked enemies. Such gloves costed me 40c, which is way less than faster attacks gloves. Finally, I bought decent life leech rare amulet, and replaced Valako's Sign with Mark of the Shaper + almost random elder ring (to keep me busy crafting). DPS in PoB is similar to OP's, price is way lower, and I have more eHP....


I have also modified the links a little, as flame dash was a nightmare. Adding decoy totem really improved QoL for most of the boss fights. I just pop it up, and keep casting arc+ball lightning while the boss is dealing with totem. Why run yourself when you can make your enemy run?
I also liked the idea of CWDT + shock nova + CoH + conductivity. Way more reliable in boss fights than HoT. Concerning the Inpulsa links, I think 5L is enough, and blind can be put on abyss jewel. I also completely dropped frenzy, as I always forgot about it in boss fights. I ended up having only attack, totem, and orb of storms. The rest is pure magic :)

Whilst I agree on some skill changes, your HoT -> Shock Nova is pure sillyness. Curse or not, the sheer power 25% penetration gives you is literal "more" multiplier you're missing on as far as I understand resistances. You should fit that back in, especially since it takes reduced mana reserved.
