why not go full life?
i mean in the end - DO has life already on it and if you go life you can have the new damage nodes (Wihtering Presence) and the curse nodes (Malediction)

and yes i know that DO deals constant chaos damage, but its pretty easy now to get 135 chaos resistance and with that (and a little life reg) the damage from DO should be okay

Even if we take all the life nodes and change gear accordingly, I'm getting around 5k life at best. I'm not sure if that + degen is worth it for the enfeeble and pops.

i did some very quick testing (pathing probably not perfect) and got 6389 life (can be more if helmet is switched)
you can get rid of all the mana reservation nodes - no discipline means that we wouldn't need them, also i would go to the scion life wheel

also i think the pops is worth alot for this build because otherwise the aoe is so small that clearing of maps is not very fast
and Malediction is nice for bosses

Can you link the Pob?

I don't see how we can drop the mana reservation nodes without dropping the enfeeble as well. You need atleast 3 mana reservation clusters to fit in mana for enfeeble plus have enough left over to cast ED.

Plus those mana reservation nodes also give non-curse aura effect and aoe, which means we would lose a lot of dmg and area on DO.

If we keep the reservation clusters, or some of them and drop enfeeble, we can path to the scion wheel but that would mean we stay at two curses and the Malediction node does very little.

if we go full life, we don't take Discipline, so we have 3x35% blasphemy (Enfeeble, Temp Chains, Despair) but since Despair has 100% reduced mana reservation thanks to Impresence we only have 70% reserved mana

you are right that non-curse aura effect would cost some damage, have to look at the PoB later to see how much

Aspect of the Spider is 25%. Without the aura nodes, dot goes down from 160k to 100k, and that's without losing Eber's.
