Just a quick request - any chance you could either explain the "corrected" settings, or link to a post/discussion that does? I'm having a hard time understanding how to select/change things in PoB to get the correct dps for skeles (not new to PoB, but this is my first minion build).

Impale is very good DPS and if a build can fit in in they really need to since it such a big increase. Also as a aside most people drop Feeding Frenzy to use Impale.

Now Dread Banner plus Generosity increase it even more. On my PoB I have Total Impale DPS of 730,951.8 if I drop Dread Banner it drops to 575,332.6. So a pretty big drop.

So what gem changes are you making? FF for Impale I get -- what are you removing to put Dread Banner + Generosity?

Current gear below at 91 (where I seem stuck right now):

Also have To Dust and two other jewels (can't figure out how to link things in Passive Tree :) )

First to link Jewels the only way I have found is to remove them from the passive tree and put them in inventory and link them from there.

Second I see on your gear a good place to put Dread Banner and Generosity and that is your boots. You have 2 Desecrate one in your wand and one in your boots you only need the 1. Even with Trigger mod on your wand.

And the other is Faster Attacks. Why you have that I have no idea do you Gem Swap something there?

You can also free up a slot by doing some Gem Swap. You can Swap Spirit Offering with your Flesh Offering for map clear (it will help your clear speed.)and then on the big Bosses you think you will have trouble with Swap in Spirit Offering but that is up to you.

Third is all conjecture on my part and can be totally ignored. But to squeeze a little more DPS out I would suggest swapping your Zombies and Carrion Golem places. The Carrion Golem will benefit more from the +to minion gem levels in the Helmet than the Zombies will. If your worried about your Zombie survivability I would just give it a try. I can say for sure that my Zombies have no problem surviving without it. The only one thing I ran into so far that could kill them is Metamorphs from T15 and T16 Maps and I didn't have Spirit Offering. So it's up to you.
Now that I swapped from MoM to Doriany I've been dying a lot of elemental damage and strong ingnites. I did juiced up T16s maps yesterday, with 4 awakened sextans, all corrupted and scarabs + zana mods and one mistake was enough to kill me. Not sure if that's normal or I was being more careless than I thought. But non chaos damage going through in all juiced up maps (with like almost 20 mods going on with 100% ele damage) seems to be deadly to me. So I'm thinking of going back to MoM and just getting the Essence Worm Ring to run Pride.

A few thoughts.

Since buffs of multiple golems of the same kind don't stack (according to https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Golem) and our build don't rely on golem damage, running another golem seems more beneficial. And since we don't need Culling strike when running AG and Kingmaker, using a Chaos Golem gem (for our second golem) instead could be an option, for the 5% physical damage reduction (requires gem lvl 22 which is easy with our build).

Also, I was under the impression that a level 20 Carrion Golem adds 20% damage to minions, but according to POB that is not the case. Which is weird since I'm used to interprete the wording "damage to minionS" as all the minions - not just the golems. Another example of the wording being used without giving a buff to all minions is Decree of Reflection (https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Decree_of_Reflection). Such a glove enchant granting 400% to all minions would be insane. That the wording has multiple meanings is a bit confusing, but hey.

One last thing.
I've been experimenting with the Intuitive Leap Jewel (https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Intuitive_Leap). I've put it here:

I did this to gain points for more life. The bottom line is I lost:
20 intelligence
2% change to block spell damage
5% increased maximum mana and
58.000 dps from a jewel and increased golems buffs

I gained 5 nodes and used them om 25% (5x5%) life. Not for everyone, I know, but for my build life is currently more important than dps. I guess the important thing for other people is if they can find 5 other nodes more important than the above loses.

Good Stuff here. I am going to to take a look at Chaos. It sounds like it may make sense if you have a gem slot available. That 5% for the chaos golem should be buffed as well from the Golem buffs we have.

As for the Carrion Buffs can anyone who has more experience clarify how it's buffs work?

As for the intuitive leap jewel I think that's a pretty good find. 5 points can go a long way. Once I hit level 95 I will do some testing.

Sure thing! So there's a few things to make sure you're doing to properly see skeleton DPS especially with Impale. First is that you should grab the LocalIdentity fork of Path of Building. It has a ton of community contributed improvements as well as a number of fixed LocalIdentity has put in. You can find info on installing it here:

https://github.com/LocalIdentity/PathOfBuilding/wiki/Installing-this-Fork

Then after you import your character you should make sure you skeletons are selected on the left. Then head over to the configuration tab and check the following things depending on what you're using:

* If you're using Carnage Chieftain spectres select "Do Your Minions use Frenzy Charges
* If you're using Host Chieftain spectres select "Do Your Minions use Power Charges
* If you have Maim linked on your Carrion Golems select "Is the enemy Maimed"
* If Feeding Frenzy is linked on your Carrion Golems select "Is Feeding Frenzy Active"
* Set the "Is the enemy a boss?" to Shaper/Guardian

The rest is a bit more situational depending on skills you might use or not. For example, you can simulate the Doryani Jewel in PoB or simulate the damage/benefits an Animated Guardian is giving by altering Jewels. Those settings above are the basics though.

Hi I am new to PoE and this is my first ever character. I was wondering if someone can push me in the right direction
I spent the whole day trying to gear...but I dont think I geared very well. I am missing a bunch of HP..sitting at around 3.5k. It also seems like I rarely run out of mana. Current budget is around 2 EX. Got really lucky with Exaulted orb drops with T3 maps. Capped resists, but feel like I will lack later on. Thank you very much!

Welcome to the endgame. Basically it just looks like it's time to upgrade into map level gear and get your gems leveled up. I have put together some basic searches for you to find some starter gear that should push you into red maps starting earning some good currency and then upgrade again into bleeding edge gear.

Most pieces will have 'pseudo' resistances on them (meaning they just have a base # without specific types of elements) adjust as your build requires.

Helm-time to dump your act3-4 crafted blue ;) the open prefix is for you to craft +1skellie/zombie on to
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Metamorph/Lg8aRWBhn

chest-yours is ok so with money an issue this might be one of the last pieces to change-biggest boost is to craft +1skellie/zombie on it

ammy-just want one that has lots of res/life and maybe a stat if you are short on 1 (mine has dex)-empty suffix is for minnion movement speed craft (same for rings)
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Metamorph/3qBmqL9i5

rings-this is where you really stack your resists. again open suffix is for movement speed
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Metamorph/8vYRoZsV

belt-yours is fine, i would not change it for now

gloves-yours are ok, usually you dont want any evasion bases since we tend to like armor/ES (I went a little high on this search I think, you can adjust as needed)
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Metamorph/7n48MLlS5

boots-yours are ok, low life and only 55 res but 30%MS. endgame ones I always like cannot be frozen but it is a 1EX craft so you'll have to wait on that (i dropped the life from 60-50 and res from 100-80 which dropped the prices from 35c-10c so you have some movement here).
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Metamorph/Og5EZdziE

abyss jewels-you have an open socket on your tree and the one in your belt is kinda meh, the biggest dps boost is 'minions deal X% increased damage when you use a skill' so you want that on each, a physical damage mod is good too and life, those can be expensive. Get the skill damage mod and grab one with minons taunt and another with minions blind then whatever else, stuff like:
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Metamorph/aQyJ7te
and
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Metamorph/9ywX0mHK

wands-ok this is the big expensive one. for starters the ones you have are fine, they can probably get you into red maps since they have nice big damage on them. but the +1 to all minion and +1 to all spell gems mods will really make a difference, wands with +2 are 10+ex so not an option right now. this search is for wands with either of the +1 mods and minion damage and they start at 30c, so you may not be able to get both or even one until you earn some more. like I said yours will be ok for now but you want to get these upgraded soon.
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Metamorph/QLDg0OmSw

I would also look at buying a 21/0 vaal skellie for around 15c. when you are rich you can get a 21/23 but it's not even needed.

This should get you going. Good luck and don't be afraid to ask for more help.

Do you mean the buff it gives other minions?

If so it just gives the flat phys bonus to non-golem minions attacks that it lists on the gem.

Here's a line by line breakdown of the gem:

"

Per 1% quality
--------------------------------------
1% increased Minion Maximum Life
This is for the Carrion Golems Only
Minions deal 1% increased Damage
This is for the Carrion Golems Only
--------------------------------------
Maximum 1 Summoned Golem
Pretty Self explanatory
Golems grant (7-27) to (11-41) additional Physical Damage for Non-Golem Minions
This is the one for everyone else. Our skeletons, zombies, and spectres get this flat added phys to their attacks
Golems deal 8% more Damage per Non-Golem Minion near them, up to 80%
This is a buff back to the Golems from everyone else
(30-68)% increased Minion Maximum Life
This is for the Carrion Golems Only
(0-10)% increased Character Size
Hidden stat but just makes them appear bigger

I'm toying a bit with the idea of switching the ascendancy from Mistress of Sacrifice to Commander of Darkness. The main thing lost is skill effect duration and offerings on myself. In turn +30% damage and +20% resist all, freeing up more affixes on gear. Has anyone already done this?

Losing Spirit offering on me is the only real drawback as I see it. On the other hand getting quite a damage boost and a non trivial amount of resists.

Yeah, that's what I thought. It's confusing that the line "Minions deal x% increased damage" only regards the golems, while on wands, for instance, it means for all minions. Should be "Golems deal x% increased damage" or something. They do less increased dps for our skeletons than I originally thought. Only about 4% according to POB.
