[3.9] Pure Phys Skeletons & Friends Necromancer — Beginner/SSF/Budget Build

Any suggestions on what to get on my belt/ring if I already have max resists?

Essence Worm with Pride is an option. Other than that, more life can't hurt. You could also look into one of those fancy new Redeemer rings with Minions Do Increased Damage.

Essence Worm with Pride sounds like fun, but you need to be practically beside the monster for it to work. I'll probably go all in on life and chaos resist unless I find a worthwhile redeemer ring.

Any suggestions for belts? I was thinking I could get a socketed belt but I can't seem to find any decent abyss jewels with relevant minion stats. I could go for minion movespeed and life, I guess.
Hi, great build. I bought a glorious vanity jewel but I don't think I understand how to socket it correctly as it gave me zero energy shield. Any help with how to use those jewels correctly?
I'm attempting to figure out why my skeleton dps is significantly lower than everyone else's here. Granted I don't have maxed out gems yet, but I should be closer than I should be currently.
Hello. Trying to level up this build and never been much into summoners before, but i finally give it a little go.

Am i doing something wrong or set up my skeletons wrong, cause a lot of the times they are not doing damage to monsters. They just stand there and whack stuff giving no damage. They wont start giving damage until the mob is close to me so a lot of the times i have to run close to bosses etc to be able to kill them and it kills me a lot of the times.

Or is it intended that you are forced to be close to mobs kill them with skeletons?

A little example below, where my skeletons are hitting a target but giving no damage.

Edit. After i switched my gloves "triad grip" the skellies seems to attack a lot more.

Guys I have done it
I have reached level 35 raised zombie
First of all I would like to thank my mom and my dad for being such a great help in the process of this useless journey
And also here’s my gear

8 from global modifier
3 from item
3 from support
21 level gem
And you have a level 35 raised zombie

If you have a higher level raised zombie please tell me as I want to copy the shit out of you thanks!

Hey guys, I first want to say that I am loving this build, esp because it's my first ever minion build.

Could somebody please look at my POB and tell me why my average skeleton damage is so much lower than viperesque's POB build? I know my gear isn't great etc but I can't see why it's low compared to his POB. Thanks. https://pastebin.com/GHk22jFE

You didn't toggle a few of the things for your configuration. I'm assuming you're using carnage and host chieftains. If so you should check that the minions use power and frenzy charges.

Your Carrion Golems are maiming so it's fine to check that the target is maimed. Finally you didn't have Feeding Frenzy toggled on.

Here's your build with those things toggled on and you're looking at more like 426,000 per skelly which is better.

Also if you're not using LocalIdentity's Path of Building fork, I highly recommend it for better and more updated features. You can find more info about it here:

Ahh thank you, I don't usually mess with POB so didn't even notice.
Yup I'm using the fork, thanks. :]

Just had a quick look, but you probably need to turn on "do minions use frenzy/power charges" and is feeding frenzy active under the configuration tab in POB. That gives you 30.000. But have a look at the configuration tab of the POB you follow, and make sure you have the same settings.

Thank you. :]
Thank you Solanales for all the great info!

So does my weapon base damage matter for the minions?

right after my post i had a wand drop that is lower damage than my current weapon but it has these:

minions deal 74% increased damage
minions have 5% chance to deal double damage

should i start using that wand now? if i equip it my character sheet dps drops from 1400 to 600?

thanks!

Weapons stats don't matter, only the modifiers that affect minions, such as your Wand with an Incursion mod that gives the +% Minion damage and +5% 2x damage chance. Currently running this build @lv86 progressing through the Atlas (early yellow tier atm) and I think I've had my attack replace with just walking from like mid-late Act 1. I just let my tide of minions (2 Carrion Golems, 11 Zombies, 11 Skeletons, plus an unsupported Vaal Summon Skeletons for bosses/static encounters) along with a bit of Flame Dash and Frost Bomb (mainly for countering Metamorph mega hp/es regen) do the work.
