Can someone take a look at my lvl 93 summoner and tell me how i can get more suvirvability as i seem to die in 0.3 seconds at t15-16 maps and people claim that this is a cake walk with this build, sure if you can stay at range but when bosses has like 130% increased area of effect and double elemental damage i don't see how we are supposed to live through it as we die in 0.3 seconds or less. Furter more it gets a tad tedious having to constantly watch the hp and needing lightning reactions not to die. Not sure if the 6k hp i got ain't enough or what is happening.

Looking at your gear yeah it looks like you're sitting at -60 chaos res which doesn't really work anymore on any build. I played a bleed glad before this and a cobra lash on launch and basically every one of them needed chaos res to live. You don't need to cap it but I sit at 55% and that feels pretty comfortable.

Also make sure you're using your bone armor as that gives you a free 2200 HP all the time. I'm not saying everything is a cake walk for me either, but it definitely clears well and I haven't died anywhere near as much on this character as on my bleed glad.

Total on this character I've died 58 times... which is maybe a lot but it doesn't seem that high in this league considering lol.
can someone please tell me why generosity is needed for dread banner? will generosity make the banner gain stages?
Thank you so much for this guide it has really gotten me into POE. i had tried it once before but only got to level 41. I am having a lot of fun with this character and am level 83 now and getting up to T6 maps.

However i am a serious poe noob and know very little still. I still dont understand all the different ways to make and modify gear yet.

My basic question is what modifiers apply to my minions other than minion ones. Like when i get items that say +10% global physical damage, or +10% fire damage and things like that are those effects increasing the damage my minions do or not?

I read this is supposed to be a "physical" build. my weapon says it adds to physical damage and also adds to cold damage. are both of those working on this build for me?

Also i noticed the skill tree was 2 spaces away from a jewel slot so i put points there and put in a jewel with global physical damage and minion damage which seemed like a good idea?

Also i have a tabula chest, what do i do to improve it? vaal orb?

thanks!

hey guys,

really enjoying this so far. i could use some tips on what to upgrade next. i think my wands are pretty good. obvious things are a 21/20 skellies gem, and the neck anointment. anything else? at 5.5k life now. thanks for any guidance!

So I decided to invest my currency in one wand and bought this:

It has one open suffix and the plan was to craft % minion damage. BUT I didn't know that it was not possible to add the mod and still can't understand why.

Is there any way to improve this wand or should I admit my ignorance and try to sell it?

Sell it. Spell damage shares the same slot as Minion Damage.

Sure thing. So the Dread Banner is an aura that affects you and nearby allies. So technically you don't need generosity at all to make the Dread Banner work for impale. That said, we're not attacking ourselves so some of the power of Dread Banner is wasted in that we can't gain charges whatsoever and there's no point in planting it.

What Generosity does is makes the Dread banner have 39% increased effect and larger radius with quality on the gem. It doesn't let us gain charges. We don't care about the charges or planting the banner at any point. We're only using it for the increased impale effect and Generosity makes that even stronger. So basically it's not required but it does make impale even stronger. Here's a comparison of my PoB.

First is my normal PoB with Impale on skellies, Dread Banner, and Generosity linked:

Now here is my setup with Impale on skellies and Dread Banner but without Generosity linked:

So I lose out on 76,436 dps per skeleton without Generosity. Across 14 skeletons that's a loss of 1,070,104 dps. So basically just linking up Generosity to Dread Banner gives us a million more DPS across all skellies.

So for this build, pretty much the only thing that will help you out are modifiers specifically related to minions. Things like "Adds # to # Physical Damage" do nothing for us since that would just be adding physical damage to a spell or attack which we don't do.

This is a physical damage focused build, but the only thing doing damage for us is our minions. So things like Increased Damage, Increased Fire Damage, Increased Spell Damage, and so on do nothing for us.

The biggest impacts to our DPS we can get are Gem Levels. That's why you see a lot of us using +1 to All Spell Skill Gems or +1 to All Minion Skill Gems. After that, modifiers like Minions Deal % Increased Damage and Minions have % Increased Attack Speed are good for us as well.

Global damage, phys modifiers, and so on don't really do anything for us. Here's some of my gear with explanations:

Here the Global Critical Strike Multiplier does nothing for me, but I bought it for the +1 Summon Skeletons, the open mod to craft minion movement speed, and the dexterity to help meet requirements for multistrike.

This ring isn't that great but I crafted it myself. The fire damage does nothing for me but it had some fire resist and a good life roll so I'm using it for now. The accuracy also does nothing.

This ring is better. It has some cast speed to get skellies up faster, all ele resists, and an open slot to craft on Minion movement speed.

The increased Spell Damage does nothing for me as well as the projectile speed. They aren't contributing anything. On the other hand it has +1 to all spell skill gems, and +1 to all Minion Skill gems which is huge to have both on 1 wand. It also has some cast speed which is nice to get skellies up quicker, and some attack speed for minions which helps the skellies hit faster.

Hopefully some of that helped. Let me know if you need any clarification.

Edit: I forgot to address the Tabula. Vaal orbing a tabula is a risky play as you might brick it. What you want to do now that you're in the 80s is start looking for a real six link chest. Something with some life, resists, and hopefully an open Prefix to craft on +1 to Maximum Skeletons.

Here's a trade search for the kind of thing you're looking for:

https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Metamorph/EB56ayRT5

Many of them will have resists crafted on. It's fine to leave that as is, but all the ones in this search also have an open prefix if you wanted to craft +1 to maximum skeletons on it as well.

Why did you anoint Ravenous Horde instead of Indomitable Army? Actually -- looking at your passives, you didn't even go for Indomitable Army. Is this considered the better way to go?
