[3.9] Pure Phys Skeletons & Friends Necromancer — Beginner/SSF/Budget Build

Just asking if this is a smart move, or that im wasting 5 points on this gem socketing it way outside of the recommended tree :)

The gem:

Ok, switched some gear around, are you people using dread banner just for the impale effect ?

Minions do not stack the dread banner, so the fortify effect is not granted ? Should I switch dread banner for skitters which can shock ? What do I give up for the skitters ? Flesh Offering ?

Do have impale support instead of splash damage or multi strike ruthless ?

Asking this things only for Sirus since I am trying to boost a little the damage.

Managed to pull some shananigan and almost beat him last time I tried.

Hi guys, back to PoE after a year or so off, been following this guide and would like to know where my next upgrade(s) should be for the most benefit. I have a about 8 ex to spend! Thank you!

I have 46% Chaos res which I'm happy with, really helps with Sirus attempts etc, I have a To Dust jewel and a taunt and a blind jewel.

Hi mate , thx for your vid , one question , why still got enfeblee lvl 5 if you cast it? and worth lose spirit offering for dread banner?

It was a leftover from cwdt setup, which i'm not using atm. Thanks to pointing out tbh, i have put leveling gem in there.
As to if it worth losing spirit offering or not, it's a personal decision. My current setup is VERY VERY squishy, i'm dying like once in 5-10maps to some crazy metamorph or flamedash to pack of monsters and insta rip. But i don't care about level atm (95 is enough) and i prefer to go for a bit more damage. Right now for mapping i'm using dread banner, flesh and stone (blind stance) and skitterbots. I just went an offence direction and its might not be for everyone. If you have something like ~500k dps with defence stuff like cwdt/mom/shield, its enough.

Wow props dude! That was clean af. I'll definitely have to try out Pride w/Skitterbots
Also do you think you could've skipped if you popped your Vaal Skeletons earlier?

Thanks.

If you have noticed, vall skeletons was not ready even at the end. With army, you can end P4 (last phase when boss is at 50%) very fast, skipping every mechanic (or almost any).
I've thoughroughly enjoyed playing this build. Thanks! I've tried running the build as specified in the guide (going with two wands instead of shield charge).

Still need to get (1)two Convoking Wands with both +1 to minion and spell gems and (2) an elder Bone Helmet with +2-3 to minion gems, (3)Awakening Gems (currently only have the Melee Splash gem upgraded as it was only about 75c), and lots of other improvements.

I've got a few questions, though.

1. How big of a gamble is it to buy a Glorious Vanity Timesless Jewel (Doryani) and place it in the leftmost socket (as suggested in the build description)? I mean, what have been the outcomes of people trying this? Would love to be a bit more tanky.

2. I'would like to improve my 13 skellies' dps (right know they are about 142.000 per skelly, when running Ruthless instead of Melee Splash). Thinking that a +40 skelly damage enchant would be the way to go. How is the best way to go about this? And does a fossil enchant change the implicit and explicit modifiers?

3. Been running two Carnage Chieftains and two Host spectres as suggested in the build guide. Any other combination people would suggest trying?

4. Any other anointment people could suggest than Adomitable army? My minions rarely die so maybe something that made myself a bit tankier.

Here are my POB (https://pastebin.com/1p4Ydrcb) and items

Have anyone killed Sirus with this build? If so - can you provide video and/or gear you had? I was clearing t16 no problem but Sirus was just one-shotting me on the first attempt, I didn't even took like 10% of his HP from him.

A bunch of people have killed him so far in this thread. I killed him a few days ago with my current gear. The only difference was I used ahns heritage in the offhand instead of the +1 wand. I watched this video once then killed him with 1 portal left https://youtu.be/A7W8Wquhkcg. Basically just dropped skeletons while running in circles trying to dodge stuff.

Hey, thanks for your answer - what was your HP/ES during the kill?

6k hp and 2k mana. Maybe I got lucky with the storms or something but I thought uber elder was a harder fight. If I wasn't bad at the game I could see going deathless pretty easily.
