Holy moly! In this session I decided to try out some different skills, experimenting some (Ground Slam + Multistrike, then later on Blasphemy + Warlord's Mark and Static Strike + Multistrike). And then I went ahead and farmed for a bit in order to test them out, after which I worked on some more of the Act IV questline. This morning I farmed for a bit, and got my marauder to level 47. Also, I created a shadow character this morning as well, wanting to play a class that can utilize claws and chaos damage, just for something different. https://youtu.be/SpPvdFdexpc <<< Trying out the class. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, for starters. Props to the GGG guys for making it so that if the game unexpectedly crashes, you're put back in town. The only ARPG/MMO I know of that does this. Comes in handy when your computer decides to restart right out of the blue (a big problem recently). (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ Worked on my shadow some, getting him from level 4 to 16, quite a jump! A bit caster-ey for my taste (Ancestor's Call and Melee Splash are red gems, sadly), but there's nothing like watching a whole bunch of monsters bearing down on you,...... then all of a sudden dropping dead! Not as noisy as Glacial Hammer/Infernal Blow as well. A couple days ago I tried streaming this game on Youtube, with meh results. https://youtu.be/VNV3kCpwrJs Buuut as for today, just made some decent progress on my shadow, going from level 19 to 22 and getting as far in Act II as the part where you get Maligaro's Spike. I also got a real lucky drop that allows me to do some marauder-style melee now: So tomorrow it'll be the same as today, just keep chugging along on the questline. Really liking shadow right now, although having green+red+red sockets are a "requirement" to make it so. Good session, didn't lose my mic or anything. Otherwise I just trudged along on the Act II questline, and got to the Vaal Ruins. And for tomorrow, more of the same. I might also be on longer too, as I might be calling in tomorrow, as we're supposed to be getting ~10 inches of snow on Saturday. Not even gonna bother trying to drive in that, despite my job being only half a mile away. No thanks. Off-stream this morning I played for about an hour and made it to where the sky turns black, and went from level 24 to level 25. And got a rather lucky drop as well: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, fast forward to this evening. I got in a good session today, going from level 25 to 32, and getting from act II to Act III, where you get to fight (lol) ribbons. https://youtu.be/78rnuQogpbk <<< Vaal Oversoul fight I also found another special drop (but not sure if the fire/cold damage buffs work with Herald of Ash/Ice) again. Some extreme luck: I did end up calling in to work, due to having ~3 inches of snow on the ground when I woke up, and it's only begun (supposed to have 6-10 overnight). Not to mention I must've lifted and/or slept wrong, since from my right butt to my right lower back was hurting, so best to play it safe (I work a manual labor/heavy lifting job). But for tomorrow I'll probably just keep plugging away at the storyline. I have to work tomorrow, so I won't be achieving much. Off-stream this morning I played for about an hour, and got as far as meeting Lady Dialla, as well as advancing from level 32 to level 33. Trying to test things out after installing a new driver for my graphics card. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fun-filled session today. At least two near-death experiences - one when fighting Gravicious and the other when fighting the Brutus rogue exile - great way to wake up after being half asleep when I started streaming lol. I went from level 33 to 34 and made it as far as just before the Piety fight, after which I figured discretion the better part of valor and just went back to town and worked on logistical stuff the rest of the session. This time I switched back to my marauder, missing its straight-up melee playstyle, and not having to ranged attack stuff like I do on my shadow (he can melee, but not as effective as marauder can. Can't really use red gems - especially Multistrike, Vitality, Life gain/Life leech on hit - that well either, due to his low strength). I basically went with a Ground Slam and Sunder build, as well as focusing on life leech. I'm also considering creating a duelist character. If I do, he'd be a dual-wielder focusing on bleed damage, kind of a holdover from the shadow class. I'm starting to like that DoT damage. >:] And with that, here's the records I played today (had to cut the session short since I was starting to feel sleepy. Earlier this morning I tried streaming on Youtube. I played my shadow character, and finally got a Blasphemy and Efficacy gem (combined with Despair and Contagion, respectively). Earlier this morning I created a duelist character. He's going to be a dual-wielder and utilizing bleed and poison damage. Throughout various times of the day off-stream I was playing my duelist and my shadow.
