Had the air conditioner on most of the stream, so lots of background noise, very distracting. It's 90° right now where I live, so there's not much else I can do. I managed to tear myself away from my ranger part way into the stream and played my marauder some today (the boss in the Gardens map basically requires me to use my marauder, since Infernal Blow/Herald of Ash doesn't leave corpses). I even played my duelist a little as well. Otherwise, I just mostly ran maps, and even fully completed a few new ones:
A Couple Map Completions
Get her in the green phase and just take the 10 stacks of Enfeeble (none of my flasks remove curses) and just AoE her and the continuous stream of adds until she dies. I wish I'd have known this sooner. :\   One thing I do like about my marauder/Infernal Blow/Herald of Fire though: It's way more photogenic (for lack of a better word) than my other characters:  Gotta love those diviner strongboxes. :]  And I forgot to mention yesterday, I recently added Vaal Haste to my ranger's arsenal. I like it, especially if I actually remember to use it! And I finally managed to get her chestpiece to a 5-socket. So now the setup is Viper Strike + Faster Attacks + Vile Toxins + Melee Splash + Ancestral Call (I thought about using Increased Area Effect instead of Vile Toxins, but that would require too many chromatics to make work, not to mention Increased Area Effect has a higher mana multiplier than Vile Toxins. Just trying to keep mana costs down.) But, aside from all that, that's the session. VERY busy session today. It was all ranger this time, running low-tier Shaper/Elder-flavored maps, especially when my atlas looks like this:  Usually the Elder areas are towards the middle, where I don't have access. Today was my lucky day it seems! And Catarina and Haku has reached level 8! Only Tora and Zana is left now. And wouldn't ya know it my ranger hit level 82! Amazing what you can accomplish when your character isn't dying all the time. :\  And I also found the perfect item for my duelist, if I even play him again (he's not on the shelf like my shadow is, but I'm liking my ranger too much right now to play anyone else). And thus endeth the stream session. A Few Map Completions
   Oh, and in case noone has noticed, unless I have very good reason for doing so I no longer make videos of my first time map boss kills. A video that lasts only a few minutes wasn't worth all the typing, brain-wracking, uploading, video editing and whatnot that takes at least twice as long as the video, especially when a). It's a work night, when I'm already under the hammer just getting my blog post made before I have to get ready for work, and b). Very few people watch them anyway. I ended up crying uncle at some point. It's just screenshot and go now. -_- But otherwise, good session. A meh session today. I've had better ones. :[ All ranger again. Running low-tier Elder-flavored maps. I had to abandon a Beach map because I kept getting one-shot. A bit embarrassing. :\ Well, that's two Tabula Rasas I got now.  Maybe this'll get me playing my shadow again,. . . . or maybe not. -_- If they were to ever go the World of Warcraft route and allow you to pay. . . . $_50__ to boost a character to level 70 and completing the whole storyline, I'd be all for it! I also heard you can use Vaal Orbs to get extra mods on them. Didn't quite work. :[ Otherwise, another session in the books. Got curious and took a look at my stream stats recently: Good thing I have no interest in becoming a Twitch affiliate. :\  As for the session, nearly all ranger today, just running more maps. And hey, wouldn't ya know it, I leveled up again. She's now level 83! And I also found me a Pugilist jewel too (can't link this for some reason :\ ). Definitely an upgrade!  But otherwise, a pretty good session overall. Fairly bad session today. Bad sleep (dream/nightmare-filled, it's as though I had never slept at all), so it was hard to focus. Mostly ranger again today. I think I ran my marauder a little bit, but that's about it. I just ran maps the whole time today, preferably the Elder/Shaper-flavored ones. I even completed the bonus objective on the Fields map. Early this morning off-stream I worked on my shadow a bit, trying to fix the sockets in his daggers. I was trying to get "Two green + One red" on one of them, but I was a wetod and clicked "Two red + One green" instead. So there's a 100+ chromatic orb write-off. >.<  Because typing "window licking retard" in Giphy didn't have what I wanted. I tried to salvage it by equipping my Tabula Rasa and eventually made a Viper Strike + Ancestor's Call + Melee Splash + Multistrike + Faster Attacks + Reduced Mana setup, but I had to sac this item in order to do so: >.< Definitely a step down. :[ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- During my evening stream my OBS stopped recording my stream for some reason part way in. I hope me changing the hotkey fixed it. Mostly ran maps today, with a few Vaal dungeons thrown in. And WHOAAAAA! what an item I got: Instant leech (basically 8300 DPS from single-target Viper Strike * 2.8% life leech = 232 life gain on hit if my calculations are correct, considerably better than the 20 life gain on hit from my previous claw)? Hell yeah! Maybe I'll get lucky like last time and another Bloodseeker will drop. Although on the downside I'd have to do some passive tree-Olympics in order to get my chance to poison back to 100% though, or just replace my Vile Toxins gems with Poison Support ones, so there'd definitely be a tradeoff. Aside from this, not much else going on. Tonight is the last night of my work week, so I'll be able to stream longer now. Good session today! I mostly played my ranger, using my marauder when needed (usually on the Spider Lair boss, since the boss likes to summon adds then blow up their corpses. Infernal Blow shuts that down. :p ). I tried playing my duelist, but his slow speed, bad healing (his life leech sucks, even with passive tree buffs. :\ ), and outdated flasks made me give up on him about halfway into a map run. And hey, wouldn't ya know it, my ranger reached level 84! That means I managed to not die so damn much in order to accomplish this! Oh, what a difference life gain on hit/instant leech makes (still die to one-shots and sudden huge damage bursts though).  As far as maps go, they were low to mid-tier, wherever Shaper and Elder were at. Got a couple good drops though, and lo and behold they were flasks, something I seldom get (Side note: Seems I get way more Vaal Orbs than I do Chaos Orbs and, as far as I know, Vaal Orbs are supposed to be the rarer drop. :\ )!: But yeah, good session. Hopefully I can repeat this tomorrow as well. Like yesterday, it was mostly ranger. But this time around I started on my marauder instead. I completely forgot about clicking "Always attack without moving" on an ability. I did it on Leap Slam and YAAAAAY! It's actually useful now! I played my marauder for a while afterwards, but eventually I began to miss my ranger, so back I went. And Mr. Marauder is now back to being my "Anti-corpse specialist". But otherwise a good session overall. Ran a bunch of maps, did a Merciless Laby run, and even had a couple chatters, both vinyl lovers (one is a regular, and the other I think is going to be, just a hunch). That's always good! Elder and Shaper maps have dried up this time, so I went prophecy hunting instead. It was all ranger again, like usual. But this time I found a couple items that might. . . . might. . . . get me playing my marauder - possibly my duelist as well - again: I did however manage to knock out a new map though: The Atoll.  The totem boss used to kill me with one hit. I must've gotten some extra HP somewhere. :\ Otherwise, a pretty honky dory session overall. And here's all the records I played today: Roky Erickson - The Evil One The Sting - Movie Soundtrack Sheila E - The Glamorous Life Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother Tchaikovsky - 1812 Overture, and various filler tunes. Okay, calling it a night. And in all likelihood I won't be streaming a second time later on, since I've been getting some bad sleep lately (watched this video recently.
