i updated the main post with the updates for 3.2! i feel this build is not finished yet, there's a lot of room for improvement ( with a lot of currency involved. i'm considering 2 abyss sockets bubonic trail + lightpoacher for much more damage. the resistances are an issue though)

A thought: If you go for these items, you could get resists on the extra jewels to make up the difference at the cost of one damage mod or life. It's still a big DPS boost but less taxing on resists.

I am currently playing around with
for the +1 curse, in which I have slotted enfeeble for extra defense. (Using Kaom's no MoM) But I was using a 1s Bubonic Trail prior for the extra socket. 1 socket ones are dirt cheap (got mine for 1c)
that sounds good. the problem is that fire dmg+resi jewels are currently almost non-existant :( i already searched some today, did not find anything decent. i'll look further into it for sure.
if you go for a second curse with windshriek you should consider temp chains! 40% more poison duration is no joke ;) and i think the defense from temp chains is almost as good as enfeeble.

I was actually considering this! My thoughts were that because of the assassin ascendancy providing so much duration it probably wasn't needed. It might feel better for mapping in general though--just slowing things down. Not sure. I'll try it out though to see how I like it. Enfeeble is better for 1-shot protection, which was my main concern as I have pretty awful lag a lot of the time.

POB says TC is 7.5% dps boost for me vs shaper.
shaper has 80% less curse effectiveness so curses dont do much there. for mapping, temp chains should be a great dps boost ( turn off shaper in pob to see a huge dps increase with temp chains for the lulz;) )
it is more a tooltip thing though because everything in maps should die pretty instant anyway.
True, I plan to drop 2nd curse for big fights in favor of DPS (Bubonic Trail+Anger) anyways, so there's that. For maps it feels good to run Arctic Armour+Enfeeble to reduce incoming damage spikes. 45% of my mana pool is plenty as I don't run MoM.
Nice to see an update! Can I do the same build but with lightning?

yes, fire and lightning work the same ( just wrath/anger and immolate/added lightning and different boot enchant)
