[3.6] Zombiemancer - High Survivability - End Game Viable

What do you guys think of ghastly eye mods that give minions chance to put a status on enemies.

Things like "6% chance to blind", shock, taunt. This might be real great defensive/offensive multiplier.

Considering that our minions attack all the time that status is almost everytime on rares and uniques.

i'm level 98 now, and i can assure you that there is nothing in this game that you need to worry about defending against besides syndicate members/uber bosses

hence, the blind stuff against "rares/uniques" is not something you need to worry about

if you want to replace jewels for the sole purpose of blinding/taunting syndicate members... then that's a different story, but for the purpose of blind/taunting mobs? no need.

i'll add that in some insanely 8-modded T16 maps, there are situations where mobs can wreck you in a single second, so if anything you should focus on your defenses because you can get rekt before your zombies get the opportunity to life-leech/elininate the threat for you (assuming your immortal call is on CD)

gonna update that this flask is WAY better than consecrated ground, because the 3% life heal per second lasts for the entire duration of the flask even if you're full hp, AND you get to move around, whereas you have to stand on consecrated path for the regeneration

consecrated path = for standing + zombies, less charges
3% heal per sec flask = for you only, can move around

also managed to snipe a 100% stone golem buff enchantment helmet today (not the 150%, the idiot wanted to charge me 20ex for it), so gonna test that out later

Where/How did you get the 3% heal? Don't see any for sale. Legacy?

that flask mod is from killing mastermind syndicate, which then you can craft onto any flask with an open suffix

there's a couple of new flask mods in this patch from mastermind, and this is one of them that's useful for this build

TYVM. Looks like I've got to play more Betrayal.
Have to give this build a big recommendation. I've only played a spectre summoner before (which was fun), but this build feels a happy medium between clear, bossing, and safety.

I managed a few firsts this league: first character to lvl 92 (normally stop around 90 for challenge then reroll), first shaper kill (deathless), and nearly completed the atlas (only missing Hall of Grandmasters, which I failed to do).

I also attempted Uber Atziri for the first time. I'm either too unskilled or undergeared to do it (probably a combination of both, I'm still on a 5L).

This build was so smooth it makes me want to go summoner start every league. Big recommendation. I didn't manage (or rather, try) to hit end game gear, I'm currently using Purity of Elements to be over capped since I didnt try to get an Enlighten for haste.

Cleared everything like a champ! I may do this build again in the future, however, I try not to do the same build more than once.

I've managed Grandmaster with this build and it was my first grandmaster which proves the safety of the build (but lvl 93 with a 6L, zombie 21 and Empower 3 though, with zombie life 20/20 instead of movement speed) so I can give you hope that it's definitely doable. And you give me hope that I can do Shaper as I've never done him (or any of his 4 beasts) before!

Did you use any extra skill gems to defeat problematic guys in Halls? Any other tricks?

Shaper is very easy for this build. Just move in a circle and you automatically dodge balls and beam. Guardians can be tough if map mods are tough.

*Phoenix: does a lot of damage, you can dodge his special moves
*Minotaur: with easy map mods, you (your zombie while you are very close) can facetank and he won't do any special moves
*Chimera: easiest of them all since he won't do much when zombies are on his face
*Hydra: moves a lot, so you need to dodge stuff constantly, not a big deal

I did it blind, I have no idea who is problematic or what was even happening cause I had never done that map.

I died 4 times on my first wing since I was completely inexperienced then one more time on the last three wings (it was a miracle I did it at all, but with the experience, I believe this build can definitely handle it). I had no portal left by the end.

I used the normal zombie setup with life(but movement speed might be better to get them melee before they die, you might want to try both). I lost my fricking guardian instantly so I suggest you get that gem off. I didn't think of replacing that gem by another but that would probably be a good idea, that will prevent you from losing several chaos worth of guardians in the process.

My strat was just charging to apply vulnerability to elements and fortify (and trigger the minion's teleport) and then running away. I also remember that I switched haste out for vitality. Well I had to switch hatred and haste with one another before putting vitality iirc, but if you remove the guardian, you might put it there instead if you also gets blood support off.

This way, I could reinvoke my zombies in fight assuming they'd survive more than 4 seconds (which Vitality actually seemed to slightly help with). If they didn't survive that long, I would just run away and reinvoke them all and the carnage chieftains and start again from zero.

If there was a guy with movement skill, I'd use my escape to get him away from his group and that would generally make that specific pack trivial.

The very last boss of the last wing nearly killed me with multishot setup, it was a close call, I had to back away and come back several times just for that specific guy. Not very helpful though since if my understanding is correct, the grandmasters you face are randomized somehow.

I thank you for your tips on Shaper, once I get back to farming the last red maps I'm missing, I'll start getting to him!

so I just looted this belt. It seems literally fucking perfect for this build. Am I crazy?

Nah you're right it's pretty awesome. The only thing is that you're gonna need some solid rings to get your res up and it's not going to be too cheap I think.
