NO LONGER MAINTAINED

Hey,

I am also playing a Mage Skeleton Necromancer build.
As I see most of the build guides name Pledge of Hands as a mandatory Staff to use. I see that you can faster summon your minions with it. But for my understanding that is basically all, or am I getting it wrong? Does Spell Echo also cause the Mage skeletons to fire twice?

Since I can not yet afford a good Pledge yet I am playing around with some ideas. Yesterday I bought a Victoria's Shield and specced into the passive node Necromantic Aegis. Most of you will know this thing. So I buff my minions with Power and Endurance charges.
For me it feels like it gives them a good defense and offense boost, although I respawn the skeletons kinda often. It feels very smooth and it seems while map clearing they have the buffs permanent. In my mainhand Istill use a Driftwood since I did not find anything better yet. ;-)

I am just wondering about you opinions here. Is this something viable as option to Pledge? And if so, what 1-hand weapon, best to boost mage skeletons and zombie minions, would you recommend to use beside the Victoria's ?

Or is it something I get wrong and is total bull****? :-)

TY!

Updated Passives and PoB, they include a spectre set up now!
The old set up still works with the new tree just switch Soul Weaver for Mistress of Sacrifice.

You can find the skelly only gear in "GEAR"

Even a 4l pledge is always a true 5l so it's well worth getting asap.
Build is good lol, but i use faster projectiles instead elemental focus.
PS: rip my 275 gtx.
fast proj seems like a waste of a gem. the mages already reach further than my screen.
to each their own i suppose.
Recommended Spectres for 3.2? Solar Guards?

since skellys do fine in clear, i would go for vanguards for extras single target.
If you dont care about bosses just go vanguards.
