[3.1] The Blinding Blizzard - Whispering Ice Berserker - Viable for Most Everything
" There is not a single Helm with 14% or more int on poetrade. Ironically, I found 3 Kaoms in my SSF last league but no Astramentis. This time I have an astramentis but I havent found a Kaoms heart yet and at t 350C+ I just cant afford to buy a Kaoms :-( Last edited by spacenoxx on Aug 31, 2017, 3:20:43 PM

" 20 Int and 3 skill points. So that's 50 Int, or 20 Int and 15% life, or 20 Int and a jewel socket. No, that's not a good way to spend 3 skill points. " Check your gem levels. See the Sockets section. " You are searching wrong. There are tons of them for sale. Search for "%#Increased Intelligence" (unique explicit). Last edited by Kelvynn on Aug 31, 2017, 4:54:22 PM

absolutely love the guide. extremely well written and informative. using your boss guides (and many attempts) i was able to down all of the guardians and shaper for the first time. 6.4k life 7400 ice storm dps makes all content a breeze with some proper flask usage. thank you for the time you put into this.

" I think you misunderstood me. I said by dropping other points you get a NET change of: +2% increased life 46% increased armour -25% energy shield -20 intelligence +10 strength No skill point difference, just a stat difference. Thats if you drop the Written in blood cloister (4 points) and the 3 points leading out the top of marauder. You use those 7 points to pick up the Armor/Life exit out of Marauder.
" I see. Basically you want to take 2% life and 46% armor vs 20 Int and 25% ES. Both AR and ES are not that important, so it's 2% inc life vs 20 Int. I just checked what those numbers translate to, with my char. 2% life = 50 life 20 Int = 250 tooltip dmg I wouldn't trade 250 dmg for 50 life. " Grats! You're welcome :) Last edited by Kelvynn on Aug 31, 2017, 5:24:46 PM

Continuing to enjoy this build. Facetanked the Minotaur with nasty mods with barely a scratch...but the Phoenix toasted me. That was pre-Kaoms though. Made a few gear mods, but still not quite optimal:
With flasks up and arcane surge tooltip is around 11,500. Could use a better pair of boots with higher INT and a belt with some INT. Need to reroll the helm too. |

Kelvynn, thank you for this build!
It feels nice and smooth. Although I have some questions. Could you please answer. 1. Maybe you wrote about this before (I didn't find it) but doesn't it seem that the real role of Ball lightning is very limited here? I mean ... is it the best way to trigger curse on hit? How efficient is this 4 link connection at all? 2. Also Kaom's heart is not that cheap, so befor that what do you think about gem links like this (for the body or/and as a replacement for "Ball lightning-curse on hit"): a) CWDT (12 lv)-Shock nova (15)-Detonation dead (15)-Vortex (15) b) CWDT (14)-fire storm (17)- Bladefall (17)-Glacial Cascade (17) c) CWDT (16)-immortal call-Molten Shell(18)-Rallying Cry(18) So if you take, for example, b) and c) our dps and defence whould increase significantly. CWDT would be triggerd almoust simultaneously, we will not even see it. Thanks in advance!
Hi Kelvynn
I love this build more and more. did yesterday 14 uber lab runs 4 with twice enchantet but dont get a good helm enchant. but never had (also with the witch build, where traps was a pain and also not juggernaut 2 leages ago) such fast and smooth runs. Great. also the helm enchant is a pain to get. But i have a big problem with a t13 Map (high gardens) with temp chain. So as you wrote nothing abaout it in the guide it thougt it will be no problem. (also + attack and movement speed for monster on this map if this is the problem). Id did such maps with 2 boss, with - 10 res with vul and other mods without any problem. But with the temp chains mod i died 6 times and cant even finish the map (temp was with corruption normaly i dont do such maps) What do i wrong? Is there a special tactic for such maps. My profile is open perhaps you can give me some advice ? Also any advice from other guys are welcome. I really dont understand that Last edited by ichbinwerichbi on Sep 1, 2017, 10:28:51 AM

" It is very efficient, the best that I found over more than a year of playing this build. The goal is to apply the highest level/quality/effect Enfeeble to anything that hits you. CWDT lv 1 fires all the time, and Ball Lightning curses anything near you and in a large sector of the screen. It got even better after its radius was buffed. " High lv CWDT fires much less frequently than lv 1. All those DPS skills without any support would do completely irrelevant DPS. Even Firestorm. Warcries cannot be triggered, so CWDT - RC won't work at all. CWDT - IC - Inc Duration was used in the past, but was dropped for this version because we don't have free sockets, free charges from WM, and most importantly, IC is not needed with Cloaked in Savagery: if you don't get 1-shot you don't need protection against the next big hit, you are instantly at full life already. " Haha, same here. Great uber lab layout today, I did a bunch of runs myself. On one of the runs got all 10 chests opened! ))) But yeah, the chance of getting Enfeeble or AA on your helmet is really, really low. I have both of them in Standard from the past leagues, and I only got one myself, a friend got lucky with the other and sold it to me. " High Gardens is nasty with TC. You need to dodge the sunrays, they do huge damage over time and don't trigger any on-hit effects. And that's hard with TC. But I've done it with TC, just need to get used to the timing. Wait for the boss to spawn the sunrays, flame dash to a safe spot where they won't get to you for a few sec, and cast on the boss. You have a few sec to dps the boss before it spawns new sunrays. Repeat until it's dead. Last edited by Kelvynn on Sep 1, 2017, 11:50:32 AM

OMG look what I've just found on poe.trade!
WOOT!! And apparently it's been sitting there for several hours. )) This is why I love non-meta builds. You can actually find stuff on the market before somebody else snatches it. |
