Good build, shaper down at lvl 90.Inteligence 1394 6.4k hp.thanks for this build. Can u tell me if Uber atziri is viable?

Grats!

Uber Atziri is totally viable. The hardest part by far is the Trio: with 6k hp you will get 1-shot if you eat the Spike Rain or if the Dual Flame Striker hits you. But that's not really different from before, you always needed to dodge those two things. Pre-stack Icestorms on the archer bitch and she will be dead fast, then dodge the flame guy. The only new thing is that you need to avoid the chaos dot ground now, it hurts like hell without CI. Swap ring for the 2nd curse (TC, see Hydra in the Boss Guide) is extremely helpful here - these guys don't mitigate curses, and slowing the flame guy is great.

But you can't finish it right now: the instance crashes in the final fight :(

I'm waiting to see a patch note about this crash getting fixed before I risk another Mortal set.

How much of that might transfer over to this version? Or would it be better to just go hunt for/buy/craft the high-life versions instead (rings, belt, etc.)?

ES gear is not good anymore, obviously. You need Life instead of ES now.

Carry over: WI, Astramentis, Black Sun Crest, jewels, maybe a crafted belt if it was really good.

Everything else is new. And you want Kaom's (the legacy one in Standard is BiS by far, if you have it or can afford it with today's prices).

Any tips on beating Hall of Grandmasters? I can farm shapers just fine, but for some reason this map gave me issues lol.

I tried it a couple times, but it's soooo buggy. Too many client crashes for my taste, and eventually the instance crashed too. This seems to be the state of HoGM after every major patch.

Some observations:

1. There are like 20 mull_gubben clones there now, since he posted his full build. CI + Tempest Shield users that are virtually unkillable with hit damage. Yeah, people actually pay $500 to show everybody just how lame and unoriginal they are. :) Dealing with one mull_gubben wasn't hard, it was covered in the old version's Boss Guide. But now those lame mull clones are everywhere, you can expect them in every other wave at random, mixed in with all other random builds. So swapping the weapon that often is not really good. I simply went with an SR totem (SR - totem - burning dmg - EF) to pop near me and fry anything that LW's to me. It helps against some other builds as well.

2. Chaos damage is a total bitch now. With CI I never noticed it, and there are not many chaos users there, but you have to be wary of them. I got my ass handed to me by a lv 100 Caustic Arrow build (LibrittaniaES) at first. Two big problems: a) we don't need much chaos res for anything else, so your chaos res typically is -40% with this build; b) DoTs drain your mana via MoM and you run out of mana instantly against the chaos builds. I had to swap both rings to kill it:

This fixes the chaos res and makes SR free to cast. But it's not good against the non-chaos builds.

3. YOLO steamrolling it, 2.5 style, is not a good idea anymore. Our EHP is lower, chaos hurts, and most importantly, the GMs got updated again and most of them use Ascendancies and recent ability/gem buffs heavily now. They are stronger than before. I also suspect GGG failed to tune PvP scaling properly on some skills. Example: there is an Ice Trapper there that throws a cluster of traps at you and they trigger almost instantly, there is no surviving that if he manages to throw them before he dies. And some crit archers do way too much damage, from off-screen.

YOLO is too rippy. There is just too much rock-paper-scissors for this build there now. So then you have to use the 'chicken pull' tactics: trigger a wave, FD away, pull and kill them 1 by 1. I cleared 2 wings that way before the instance crashed, but it took way too long.

4. You need flasks, and there is only 1 way to keep them refilled: Ryslatha (pantheon).

I'll definitely look at HoGM again, but it's currently not a good target for this build.

First, thanks for the guide, it's great. Second, thanks for taking the time to post a very detailed analysis to the HoGM problem. I'd like to beat it, don't care about clear speed, I won't farm it with this build. 100% agree with the crashes, the only upside is I've only lost one map with a disconnect not being able to connect to the instance. This is a HUGE improvement over the last version of PoE I played which seemed to be 100%.

Is there a market for being carried through this zone on a pay for play basis? My play style is fine with earning chaos to have someone else run me through something towards my goal of completing the atlas. How do I go about finding these? I know about global 820 for trials, but don't know about a particular channel to find someone to carry my ass through this map.

Yes, in /trade 820. People sell HoGM completion all the time, for 3c. A combo of an auramancer with a number of strong builds can simply overpower HoGM and farm it, if it doesn't crash. That's what most of those people use, I believe.

Right on - appreciate the tips!

Spoiler

Get higher Int% on the staff and helmet. Having no AR on anything but the helmet may hurt. Getting Kaom's Heart will solve that issue, as well as give you more hp. T16 with under 5k is possible if you know what you are doing and use flasks in a smart way, but I wouldn't recommend it. Especially if you haven't really done anything with this build but a bunch of Shaped Shores.
You can get an improvement to your tree by going out the armour side of Marauder. Picking up those life % and increased armour nodes costs you 4 extra points over pathing directly out. Assuming you drop the written in blood cluster with no change in used stat points you get:

+2% increased life
46% increased armour
-25% energy shield
-20 intelligence
+10 strength
And some insignificant stat changes.

Does 20 intelligence make that much of a difference?
Btw, does the curse setup work? Currently running this build and it seems like the curse setup does not work. Can someone assist? tyvm!
there might be some bug in the Beachhead map just like in Uber Atziri with curses, just had one T15 Beachhead crash on me while fighting the "boss" got dced and then all my portals were gone -_^
