[3.9?] Sidefx Frost Blades - Hyped for Support +

negativity comes from players who suck, they expect to play a build that can facetank and faceroll anything in the game, in other words they want it to be easy... actually this build is easy, sometimes it happens you die one shot, the problem is not the build it's the player, their skill, awareness and average gear. having 2 ToA and Belly and a bunch of items with resists doesn't mean you are invincible actually it doesn't mean anything, i'm not even using a ToA because the extra chaining and freeze is useless and shouldn't be recommened unique at all, a good rare is better in my opinion.

looking at your build Tuzai I changed mine too a bit (still sticking to the original frost build though). I got the extra socket instead of the twin terror crit for now which gave me another 7% life gem with attack speed. now at 6.343 life. next point will be the 5% max life below golem's blood and after that maybe rest in the crit I removed so far or more survival.

Thanks SideFX for the build! I made my own frostblades build w/o using power charges but with the same amount of DPS but this build thought me the ropes of frostblades. This build can beat shaper and guardians with relative ease ^_^. (Could've beaten shaper if only my internet didn't go boom for 2 hours :( )
My level 92 character composes of 5.8k life for mapping and 5.4k life for guardian/shaper killing.
I can also now farm maps w/ abyssus with relative ease.

For the players who are struggling to map with Abyssus, I would suggest dumping abyssus and only use it when you're going boss killing for T15+ maps. Getting a rare helm with resists and 100+ life or a Starkonja's as a replacement to abyssus for mapping is advised.

Thank you, and stay frosty!
A question for the people who played this in endgame: Stun should be a big issue right? Unless you are able to avoid any hit at all of course.

No because you have kaom's roots.
Sorry if i'm low but i still dont understand why the 40 dex threshold is not needed.

Can only speak for myself, but my expectations are far from what you mention. I've played many builds requiring movement and positioning to survive and be efficient - including trapper, arc witch and searing bond totems way back in the days. I like the fun and challenge of it.

However, the risk with this build (without investing shitloads of currency into gear; remember this was initially marketed as a cheap build) is just too high. It's not RELIABLE. Suddenly you're dead to an unexpected (not a boss where you can expect it) one-shot.

Or a MS animation is 1 milisecond too long and the whirling blade gets all fucked up, which the build has no tolerence for and you'll be dead 2 miliseconds later. Sure, you can call that a matter of skill if you want - to me it isn't.

I think OP also mentioned you don't need a life flask with this build. It's beyond me how that's realistic even with great LL, but maybe that's also a matter of skill ...

I just started PoE with this Patch and chose this guide and build for my first char.

I am now at level 91 with 6.1k life / capped res and doing maps up to 14 without dying at all actually if you know which attacks you have to avoid from some bosses (or just avoid some bosses at all, but from what I've read thats the case with all/most specs).

I've had fun so far and can't really understand the negativity lately in this thread.

This is your first character ever in PoE and you're deathless at level 91 with this build? I don't believe you. But congrats if so :)

You only need to have 40 dex in nodes within the jewel range. You don't have to allocate/pick those dex nodes.

Ok, unwavering stance, but that means we cant evade so every normal phys hit will almost kill us with that low armour/phys mitigation, eight?
