[3.9?] Sidefx Frost Blades - Hyped for Support +

Question to confirm my understanding of things. With the FB gem setup, ruthless and melee phys damage only affect the melee attack, not the projectiles, correct? So the reason for going with those gems as opposed to the ones before are because projectile damage is fine for clearing, but single target needed the boost more? Is the loss of that much projectile damage work the boost to single target? Just asking, I have no idea myself, still leveling this character.
Abandoned this build around lvl 90 and rolled a new toon. Was fun and enjoyed leveling with this build, but for me personally it lacks single target DPS late-game and is way too squishy for the higher-level content (too many one-shots and annoyances due to multistrike animation+whirling blades weirdness)

.. you got to me kidding me? this build clears maps faster then most. This build has killed shaper tons of times. and wont make it to guardians? The main issue is people dont understand how to position them selfs and die then blame the build. Its player error. For example all the things people are complaining about are all in the guide. They dont want to read.

I have around 2.5M dps without a Abyssus because I dont like the extra phys damage taken and the missing 100 life / defensive stats from a Starkonja's.

Heres the POB if you guys want to take a look. https://pastebin.com/z4zfyn35

Also for my POB it says Avatar of the Veil is a dps increase over Avatar of the Chase and it's safer with the immune to ailments but makes Ruthless less effective without the attack speed buff but probaly could swap out a flask for Onslaught if you really wanted it.

Did you enable Onslaught as being active in PoB? Veil is stronger by default, but when you flag Onslaught as active, Chase becomes much stronger offensively.

Yes, those gems do not affect the projectiles, which are used for map/trash clearing. The build does plenty of aoe-DPS even with an effective 4-link. The main attack is relatively weak single-target, and Ruthless/Melee Phys are two of the strongest multipliers to boost that to respectable levels.
Can any of you guys check out my profile and tell me if you see any issues? Im doing like half of the dps of any other claw frostblade build which i import to path of building with similar lvl/items.
Any help would be appreciated.

Lmao positioning wtf do you think you´re playing ? This is not League of Legends. If I was to spend >1000 Chaos on a build I'd expect it to be able to atleast facetank fucking rare monsters on T13+ maps.

Instead you gotta jump around like a chromosome missing jackrabbit on crack , so you´re not instakilled by a fucking rare Goatman lol.

So in conclusion:

-The skilltree is a joke

-Recommended gear is a even bigger joke

- and lastly: you Sir, are the biggest joke ......hasnt even made it to 90+ once and wants to tell me something about killing shaper rofl

two digit iq build

You are one of the reason why ES has been nerfed in the first place.

Any ARPG has to be challenging and needs you to think where you should be, how you should manage your ressources (life and mana) and how you build your character.

Most of the builds I like to play are builds where you have to move, to position yourself and think of what your next action should be.

Facetanking and killing boss without moving or not even feeling threatened by a boss like the Shaper is boring as hell.

I do understand that's maybe something you like... but even GGG said that the game was designed to be challenging and not only based on gearing your character but also based on learning the threats and patterns to be victorious in a combat. Not just having a 25k pool of ES and watch mobs die. And yeah, even named / rares should be a challenge if they are at your level.

And ho... you don't need to be 100 to take down the shaper :/
