Not with that stun/block affix on there. The safest thing to do would be to use Haku's "Prefixes Cannot be Changed" mod and scour the suffixes off of it, which will leave the +2 max fire res and the flat ES. Then you can use Elreon's multimod to add ES%, 5% reduced DoT, and whatever other suffix you need (an ele res, most likely).

Nope.


+# Max Energy Shield is a prefix.
+2 Max Fire Res is a prefix.
+% Lightning Res is a suffix.
Stun and Block recovery is a suffix.

Multi mod itself is a suffix and so is rDoT, so adding multi to the shield means it'll be maxed out on suffixes and not able to craft the rDoT.

You could add the % ES alright, but you'd need to annul off the Stun and Block (paying 2ex for the privileged of trying and risk hitting the lightning res 33% of the time and just losing the prefix can't be changed [so 2ex] 33% of the time) if you wanted to push for the rDoT. At that point, you'd probably be better off finding a different base to craft from.

So much luck involved in how much you end up paying for high end gear it's really tough to say. You could certainly get it facerolling red maps no issue for around or even less than that budget. Pushing into the Guardians and Shaper takes a bit more and needs decent jewels to do with comfort.

You should manage assuming a little patience, luck and ability to jump on deals when the market offers them, but if you want to simply rush out and grab everything at once without waiting for some deals it could end up hitting your damage and making pushing Shaper and Guardians more of a challenge.

High end dory - 40-50c
High end RotP - 30-40c
(+2 max and rDoT rare - 5-8ex)
Chayula - 4ex ish
Shav's - ~6-7ex for a 6L (can do Shaper on 5l)
Delirium gloves - 2ex ish
ES Recovery belt with flat or %ES - ~2-3ex (if patient, if not.... crazy)
Boots - Flexible. Can go high end Sin Trek for ~20c and farm uber lab yourself. Or go for Death's Door for 2ex ish.

After that it's rings and jewels which can scale up super expensive super fast.
You'd want a Discipline Watcher's Eye for 2ex ish. Every jewel with 8% ES or +40 flat and as much damage as you can get (~40c a pop to a couple of ex a pop, unless you get lucky) while managing to cap out all your resistances and meet the dex and strength requirements.

You should be able to build a beast for that kind of budget, but gearing is the tricky part and it wouldn't be 'easy' to full gear all in one go without investing some time into finding the right pieces.

I don't understand this. If you craft "Prefixes Cannot be Changed" and scour it, it removes only the suffixes, which leaves behind +2 max fire res and the flat ES. Sure it takes the light res, but it's a low enough roll that you can recraft it after multimodding if it's essential. The flat ES is right in the range you'd get from a mastercraft, making this base pretty decent for a multimod. I don't get why you'd annul it all, when scouring suffixes is the guaranteed safest way of prepping the shield for a multimod. Care to explain your reasoning?

Mainly error.
I hadn't looked closely enough at the tier of the lightning res, somehow assumed it was a decent T1 roll and important.

Yeah, given the low roll there you'd be far better off scouring rather than annuling. Both in terms of the final result and the cost of crafting.

Thank you for the detailed reply! I will start watching the market now then, and hopefully get a deal on some of the core pieces. Looks like some of the jewels and rare pieces can push the budget almost to no limit lol.

Basically as long as I have a very large ES pool and can sustain regen, and can clear red maps, I will be happy. Boss killing will be an added bonus.

I think I hit a wall at this point, I already have 7 failed Minotaur and at least 4 of each other guardian, can someone look over my gear please? I have another 9ex I can waste on this build :D

It's a good idea to make your character visible for those. Gear only tells a part of the story, so hard to give meaningful advice without seeing the whole picture with the tree too.


- You've got life crafted on both rings when you could have Energy Shield. Unless you have crazy regen and are intentionally prioritising a small armour bump ahead of damage and sustain (hint: you shouldn't be) change that.

- Are you messing with the gems in your sceptre at the minute? It's showing an inc crit strikes and a portal with a free slot. Get Orb of Storms in there so you're proc'ing EE and EO. It's a HUGE damage boost and pretty central to the build.

- Get quality on all your flasks. The extra duration makes a difference.

- Drop that shield for a Rise of the Phoenix. The spell damage is only scaling Scorching Ray and it's not providing nearly enough ES at 200 to offset the losses of the +5 max res. You can look to upgrade to a +2 max res and 5% rDoT rare in the future, but might be out of your price range for the moment (~6ex to buy or self craft) and the RotP is a fine solution. It'll make a big difference to your regen.

- Jewels make a huge difference to our damage and Shaper is mainly a DPS check. If you don't have ES (% or flat) and a minimum of 15% damage on each jewel upgrade them. It's a tough spot to upgrade, but pretty essential.
