Hello, I have been following your build and just noticed a few things I have a question or two on.
1. Why do you use a lyco instead of dual claws? I feel the damage would be much better and with this build being semi-squishy anyways killing faster is much better. 2. What do you think about using one of the beastiary sets such as saqwals? I use it on my build and it is a pretty cheap set to use. Just using the gloves, boots, and chest I increase my damage over The proj damage gloves and the set is also inexpensive. I appreciate all feedback from anyone Thank you! | |
Is raider better or pathfinder for spectral throw ?

" 1.) Dual wield is pretty bad for most attack based builds. The weapons are expensive and it rotates hands so you need to get TWO good weapons of the same caliber. To do that for the bonus of like 10-15% attack speed (forget which) is really bad. Also NONE of the stats besides global crit multi are well global so it doesn't benefit from it at all. Furthermore a shield and lyco in particular gives a high amount of block chance and some life so in fact your defenses go down a lot more by dual wielding. Most importantly however is the fact that Lyco gives you 100% hit chance. This in reality adds a tremendous amount of damage compared to dual wielding and lets you not get any accuracy on your other gear that is much more stat starved (like rings/ammy). There are already so many good mods to get on rings + ammy that not having to roll accuracy is a huge blessing. 2.) I know very little about the new "set" items and the aspect skills that go with them. Honestly I have not looked much into them. Looking at the pieces now though they look pretty bad. Ignoring the avian skill/buffs itself, the chest gives + attributes which doesn't really do anything, light res, reduced mana reserved which gives you a tad more mana I guess and that's it. So over belly you lose resists and a whole bunch of life. The boots give you mana regen/life regen part of the time and move speed with no life or resists. The gloves give you minimal life, mid cold/light res rolls and that is all. The cold/light dmg while you have avian might looks the most "promising". Then it comes down to the actual avian's might skill itself. After reserving 25% mana (so already losing your herald and curse on hit setup) for 4 seconds you have a 10% chance to do double damage and then 4 seconds of 10% increased move speed. Honestly a small chance to do double damage over massive amounts of life and resists, attack speed, herald, and curse on hit setup for all that sounds like a pretty bad option. Also we already use a decent amount of uniques int his build so we rely on our rare pieces left to get the resists/life rolls that we need. Swaping both our boots and gloves to uniques mean you have to get your res solely on belt and jewelry and as I have mentioned before there are so many rolls we already need on our jewelry. I completely understand that there are a lot of new unique items to play around with and your free to do so I just don't think they will be better. The new LOREWEAVE chest piece though I think could be godly and a high/good roll on life/crit/ele dmg + max all res I think will easily be BiS. Just have to try and make up the life I would guess. " I think melcor333 explained pretty well and matches my thoughts except nicer :). I am not a pathfinder fan at all. Honestly I don't know how anyone still goes pathfinder... 100% of the class is basically summarized into 1 thing. Keeping your flasks up 100% of the time. Back in the day this used to be pretty good... but then they nerfed pathfinder a bit, and then they nerfed hard almost every unique flask in the game along with basalt. So many classes out beat it in everything. To give up all the damage/attack speed/frenzy chares/movespeed and the awesomeness that is raider for a full uptime atziri + diamond + vinktar which are mere shadows of what they once were is something I will never do. |

Would you prefer a Rat`s Nest without enchant or a Starkonja`s with Spectral Throw enchant? I just got the latter and was asking myself if I should use this over unenchanted Rats Nest.

Hello! First of all, thank you for your detailed build! It's very cool playstyle all around.
Well, I need opinions about chest. I got Inpulsa and for mapping it's pretty cool, I got around 5,5k HP on 90lvl without life on some gear (6k, 6k1 with life wtihout Belly). Which chest on your opinion will be the best for endgame: 1. Belly (cuz of HP, res and some armor/eva) 2. Yriel Fostering (Rhoa version) (cuz of att speed, crit and 20% maim with bestial minion) 3. Loreweave (cuz of high res cap, ele damage and crit). 4. Inpulsa's Broken Heart (cuz of Shock unaffected, life and explosions) If some1 tried other chests that can be very endgame viable, post your thought too, please. P.S.: Profile are public so you can check all of my gear. Abaxoth for map boss!!!

" Hate starkonjas so again id go rats nest without personally :) " Im kind of surprised you can reach 6k life without belly. Pretty sure with OP abyss jewels + 40% belly I was at like 6.2k life. I honestly haven't tested but I really think loreweave with all the offense stats and the max res will be absolutely best in slot. |

Thanks for the answer. What about Rats Nest with decelelation enchant? It is much cheaper.
