How do you break out Legion monsters with minions/totems/stormbrands/traps? These skills all work like normal and target the frozen monsters until you have dealt enough damage to them and they are broken out, at which point the skills target the next monsters like they normally would. | |
" Hello :) Cannibals are really good Specters and already alternative to Tukohamas if anything ever happens to them. However there are some differences that play for TVs favorite atm : TUKOHAMA VANGUARDS https://pastebin.com/LMYp9S4N = 2x(totems per specter) 160k DPS = 320k total DPS per Spec + Can make 2x totems + Gets benefit from burning damage in helmet (extra support) + Can penetrate proximity shield + Can do ele reflect map when minions are not max leveled - Can't clear packs that fast - Wont get benefit from power charges from shield CANNIBAL FIRE-EATERS https://pastebin.com/T4iGQZzT = 1x 236k DPS per Spec + Gets benefit from power charges + Can somewhat clear with Flame Golems if going with GMP and less single DPS + Easier to customize as they are projectile based and hit / crit like Flame Golems - Less damage than TVs - No 3rd easy support from helmet - Ele reflect maps can be tricky Cannibals work better as single target than lets say Solar Guards or Flame Sentinels, but are still lacking compared to TVs. However they can be customized for clear-speed or other needs if needed. Good choice for music in the video ;) " Hey :) Thanks, that's great to know! I was sure that GGG has prepared for it somehow. This should make minions very viable skill on Legion league. Tarkecat is going to ask Chris about the possible removal of necromantic aegis and the reasons why if so on the episode of Baeclast this Saturday. Hopefully we will find out then if necro aegis has just been moved or if it has been completely removed.
There is a chance that GGG may cut the question but then that usually means it will be answered in a separate news post. |
|
We'll find out soon anyway but seeing a few people suggest that necro aegis has been removed from the tree and added to the necro ascendancy. Possibly buffed so that both you & your minions gain the benefit of your shield!!!
I've never really played necro but if they let that through somehow with Rathpith unchanged then this will be the first league that I absolutely do!! |
|
" " Hello :) That actually makes a lot of sense! GGG stated some time ago that they were starting to separate Ascendancies to be different from each other, and Necromantic Aegis is thematically very close to Necromancer. If NA would give bonus to both, player and minions we would get lot more choice with shields. Especially standard players with legacy Rumi's flasks would get huge buff to defenses. If NA is left in the game in some form and new Rathpith is real, I will be very happy using Flame Golems with it ^^ [3.12] Flame Golem 101 - Complete Guide To Golemancy, All Bosses Down, Necro, Elementalist

" Hey :) The legend is back! Good to hear from you. Golems are doing great and there has been lots Qol and mechanical upgrades to the build. Your ideas, feedback and content have been extremely valuable in shaping the build to what it is now. PM me in the game some day and we can have a chat ;) [3.12] Flame Golem 101 - Complete Guide To Golemancy, All Bosses Down, Necro, Elementalist https://tinyurl.com/y8k9fa2f Last edited by mika2salo on May 31, 2019, 4:34:44 PM

Hi i wanted to know if the build was Solo Self Found friendly because i want to play this build in SSF (hardcore maybe) for legion
| |
" This build relies on stacking unique jewels that aren't vendor rewards so IMO I wouldn't say it is SSF friendly. Not to say you can't play it in SSF but it would almost certainly be your 2nd or 3rd build. No reason not to keep your eye out for the Primordial jewels that make this build tick and if you do manage to drop / chance the 3 jewels to make the Anima Stone and then a few extra Primordial Harmonies then you can definitely give the build a shot. Until that point you can definitely play a Necro Spectre build using Solarguard Spectre's and then transition to golems when (or more likely if) you get the requisite jewels. It is fairly Hardcore friendly seeing as the golems are pretty much un-killable and you don't really have to worry about reflect at all. Boss damage with TV spectres is decent. You don't have any leech mechanics so you have to try and focus on just not getting hit most of the time but with a high level temp chains that tends to be pretty doable as long as you are already aware of boss mechanics. It's not a massive slow on bosses but it is godly for normal mobs and the bosses are still slowed enough that dodging some attacks becomes easier. Build can be made fairly tanky if you want to focus on that but the normal league variant is probably going to have 8k - 9k EHP assuming a reasonable level of gear. The ice golem variant may be a little safer if you are able to get a abyss jewel with #% chance for minions to taunt on attack since ice golems only use attacks. Flame golems can make use of #% chance to blind on spell hit though or you can craft shaped gloves with a global chance to blind and then something like your Storm Brand + CoH setup will probably maintain a fairly high blind uptime. The typical build does rely on having a Skin of the Loyal in the correct colours (well, a few variations) which I don't know if that would be achievable in SSF. A high ES Vaal Regalia does pretty well though, you'll just lose some golem damage / life with not having a +1. Although maybe you could craft your own ES regalia with +1 if you do a lot of crafting. TLDR: Not especially SSF friendly. Hardcore viable if you know what you are doing with minion builds. |

Chris just confirmed Necro Aegis has just been moved on the passive tree.
RathPith op confirmed! [Edit: At what point does adding minion life as an actual link start becoming worthwhile?? Especially on something like an elder helm. Minion dmg + minion life + conc effect or +3 might actually be a viable alternative to just using a skin of the loyal. ]. Last edited by DrHarvey12 on Jun 1, 2019, 7:22:34 AM
