Boom, the lucky corruptions keep on coming! i'm scared to do it on my vis tho...
I attempted to craft a helmet with

Minion Life
Minion Damage
Elemental Damage

but Essence of Horror is so expensive! Went through 5ex and was very unlucky. I did make this though and I got it by first getting an ilvl 83 elder base (try to find one with a Phase Run/Convocation/Spectre or Golem enchant if you can). Phase Run enchant is pretty cheap, got the base for 50c and now it has a 100% uptime.



I agree with Fukurokage that fossil-crafting isn't very efficient for helmets since it's about 6-8c per attempt.

For mine I transmuted, either find Minion Damage or Minion Life with alts, then hope for a lucky regal. If not, scour and repeat. Once you get what you want, you can exalt slam. I'm broke so I got Leo in Research for 2 free slams. Luckily I got Burning Damage xD.

Just remember to cap Minions resistances as corrupting the shield removes 8% elemental resistance from the minions.

You can also buy +1 level Vis with no links and force then with bench. Costs 15-20 ex but is success every time that way.

Why do we only proc the "on kill mods" via Tukohama Vanguards?? Firegolems also kill.. I don't get that..can you please explain?

And how is increased area of effect corrupt on Clayshaper any useful ??

Minions are usually awarded the kills, not the necromancer. However damage over time kills are always given to players. TV Specs kill only with DOT so you will get their kills but Golems just blast enemies to pieces and keep their kills.

Clayshapers increased area of effect is global and increases curses radius.

You need equal amount of Vaal orbs if you want to change corrupt items colors with bench. for example 2 red costs normally 25 chroms, but vaal item costs 25 chroms + 25 vaal orbs.

Witchfire Brews Despair curse is not very good for the build

Coruscating Elixir is pretty risky. I'd rather stack chaos res on rare items.

I just made this, obv not as OP as the one just posted above. My friends want me to annul but I dont think I wanna try just yet.

May question is: do you think the 20% minion life craft enables me to use a different support gem? Like multiple totems support or something like that?

@Mika, thank you for adding my crafting tutorial.

I'm working now on similar crafting recipe for crafting perfect headgear. From what I see from simulations and experiments it is not cost-efficient to delve-craft it. Delve fossils can be used to prepare good item base (quality- and enchantment-vise). To make it more general in use I don't focus on using current league mechanics.

For the current league I suggest using Guff's Chaos-spam crafting in Transportation as a nice method of cheap acquiring first quasi 6S helmet (you pay only for the item-base material!).

Minion levels in helmet don't help Specs much as they get only 4% more DPS and HP per level. Supports are most important, followed by raw ES.

olegyaluck -> Helmet is pretty nice, but had very low ES. 150 ES with 3x supports would win imho.

Bakane -> If you are using Necromancer, you don't need the minion life as much as Soul Weaver gives Specs already enough HP. I would def run multiple totems if you are running minion life atm. Annuling it is risky, but can be worth it. I would do it only if you have enough currency to buy replacement helmet.

marvinpunz -> Essence of Horror crafting is really expensive and I paid 125 ex for my helmet. It's absolute min-maxing and I would rather get +1 Sotl and +1 curse chayula before it.

You current helmet looks very nice. Phase Run enchantment is very useful at keeping it up 100%, maybe you can even replace Efficacy in links?

Alt spamming is my own go-to method in crafting too :P

How's it going? Hope you are enjoying the league and having time to play it.

I don't normally run golems two leagues running but I enjoyed them so much last league I was happy to give them a go again. Saying that I didn't just want to make a WORSE version of what I made last league with the aura stacking & running blasphemy temp chains + enfeeble. So I approached it from a different angle. I still focus really just on mapping so bossing is not a big focus for me. I still wanted to be relatively tanky though if I can to make the Syndicate less of an annoyance.

Somebody mentioned early on this league using the Astramentis amulet with the Shaper's Touch gloves and since they are both really cheap and solve all dex requirements I started from there!

Its based on your elementalist variant using the Death's Door Boots to have the bleed immunity and having the elemental immunities built in. This let me go fairly defensive with my flasks.

So the character is CI just to make incursions & Tora / ITF easier to deal with. Currently at a little over 11k ES. My shield gives me +5% max cold res to make delves a bit nicer as well as Cameria less scary. It also recovers ES based on armour. I actually run around with 17k armour, I then have 50% chance to block attack damage and around 28k armour with Rumi's up. Then throw in the Basalt flask and I'm at 43k armour!! This coupled with 1.4k ES regen whilst mapping makes me feel pretty tanky. Especially as with that amount of armour I also recover around 850 ES on block. I also have the Watcher's Eye that gives reduced crit damage taken when affected by Determination making even crits less scary.

Given my reliance on uniques I couldn't fit in a standard TV Spectre setup which with bosing not being a priority I don't really miss. I instead utilise a pair of carnage chieftain spectres linked to Blood Magic (+ Minion Life & Minion Resists) so they spam frenzy's on all my golems (and me) all the time. Obviously not as good as necro aegis as the golems don't have the power charges (or block chance) but it seems like they get most of their damage from the frenzies anyway which they tend to be full on.

I'm happy with how the build functions for the content I do (mostly yellow maps and occasional low reds). Not noticing damage issues even with map bosses so far. Much nicer for delving too - I think the regen helps a lot which my last build didn't have. Regen is well over 2K on consecrated ground and I can mostly just stand on it with flasks popped when engaging a boss. It's also my first and only golemancer to actually beat Uber Lab (which I hate)!

Anyway Mika, thought I would just share current progress and let you know I've been having fun with my golem bro's again this league!!!

Standard got about 90% of leagues content, so I kinda switched to standard already. Hope you are doing well in league :)

You setup looks pretty interesting. It has stacked so many defenses that you could probably run it even in HC without much worry of dying.

If I remember correctly there's new Spec that generates power charges like carnage chieftain. I think it was called silverback something. You can run both in same links.

Lot of players are loving the high ES regen especially with Occultist. Watchers Eye can certainly help with it and only of my guild member has about 2k ES regen per sec with hybrid in standard. Haven't tried making regen variant yet, but might do it soon.

I am however a bit confused by the Cast When Damage Taken + Convocation gems.
Why do you need the CwDT gem? Why not save a gem slot by just casting Convocation yourself?

I'm considering running gloves with "Lv 12 TC on Hit" instead of the gem in the boots, or running the curses via Curse on Hit instead of Blasphemy (so with Spell + CoH + 2 curse gems, won't have room for Enhance gem).

Wondering how important is having a higher Temporal Chains Slow effect?
PoB shows the total curse effect as this:
32% (lvl 12)
52% (lvl 20 no enhance)
72% (lvl 20 + Enhance)

I run convocation self cast and like it, but I believe it's setup in the guide with CwDT so you have to use as little buttons as possible.

Yep, guide is made for 1-handed mode. No gear/gem swapping expect few endgame bosses, not lots of activated skills or fancy flasks. Just bind phase run to r-mouse and winter orb to scroll and your ready to go.

CWDT convo lets you run into packs and TC will keep you safe. When you take one single scratch CWDT will teleport all minions to you and pack will be destroyed in seconds. This lets you run from pack to pack very fast and still use only 1-hand.

Temp Chains with Enhance is pretty much best defense in the game as it keeps you safe from about everything else but endgame bosses. I would keep it in Blasphemy and with extremely high effectiveness.

Setup looks pretty good for the level but maybe maximizing EHP (HP + ES) would make leveling safer.

Hello :)

Death's doors has line "50% increased Elemental Ailment Duration on you" which is rather dangerous. However Elementalist is immune to all elemental ailments, so the line is negated. Other Ascendancies can't really use the boots as they get the negative sides also.

Was a masive pain getting to desecrate a host chieftain in the mine though when I had one of each. Nothing after 10 mins of trying. Went back and just got a host chieftain and then back to the mine and it worked within 30 seconds. Then getting a carnage chieftain and doing that separately seemed to work ok. Not too sure if I was really unlucky or if it will just be a bit of a faff if I ever need to re-summon them!

Yep, you have to find the recipes now in different location. I think you still get the same non-corrupt / corrupt craft recipe from the same place. So if you get 6-link, it should let you craft corrupt as well.

Np, glad that helped!

The summoning stuff is pretty well hidden in the game / wiki / non-in anywhere else. That's one of the reasons why I decided to write complete guide instead of few pages mini-version.

Most important is that charges are up at boss as well. Usually if boss doesn't not have lots of adds, power-charges are offline sometime during of the fight. Extra Spec fixes that problem.

You can still run 2x Spec gem setups if you want different supports per Spec but It becomes pain to manage.

I could have written that part better. You are right, Flame Golems can't taunt or blind from Abyssal jewels. Animate Guardian and Tukohama Specs however have melee attacks and can apply both effects quite well.

But I have one question, I like to have the Convocation at hand, to cast when I need, so what good alternative could we have for the Cast When damage taken ?!
