Division and segregation in a micro community

From what I've seen it's almost entirely an ego thing, which is to be expected in a player versus player community. People want to be better than others and want to think they are, which is natural. Some of them take it too far and end up starting arguments, which eventually turn into grudges that you can see literally everywhere on this sub-forum. Not saying it's justified, it is in some cases, but the mix of egotistical people and grudges over one another is a bad mix if you want an open community.

I'm not gonna act like I know a lot about PvP, because compared to the majority of the people here I don't. Merely saying what I have observed through my time playing PvP at both high level and low level.

Honestly, the sole reason I stopped even playing High Level PvP, and very much one of the reasons I'm getting bored of Low Level. The only real way to have fun, at least in my opinion, is through playing 3v3 or CTF with friends or acquaintances to get build diversity.

Which is why a lot of people end up getting mad at others. People with huge egos and thin skin get criticism and can't take it, which is what starts arguments in the first place. Honestly, having a thick skin is almost more of a requirement to play than gear in my opinion. Either way you'll get shit thrown at you one way or another, best to be able to take it with open arms.

ICedeal once created a page about EA and when he seen how fucked it was and how much big wallet guys were using it, he just erased his guide.

There is a reason why Shin don t share his build and I think maybe sharing broken build on forum make more bad than good.

If something is not revealed and common knowledge that's broken, the less likely it will get adjusted if anything happens to balance. Specificly about shin's build, what is broken about it is already revealed, so it would be a nice addition to the common knowledge, as it is very different from the current op mainstream offscreen meta builds, and is actually not easy to play.

Couldn't you argue that it's shit that popular streamers put out there will be more well-known? As far as I know, Rup did do LA/FW first (may it Rest In Peace), but the producer isn't always the director so to speak. I'm almost curious about getting big name streamers to showcase how embarrassingly broken pvp is, just in hopes of getting GGG's attention.

I dont really think they are completely ignorant of it. They just dont dare address it in fear of the PvE community shitting themselves over PvP getting any attention at all. I really dont know what do do to change it. The best idea about gettin their attention is the pvp supporter pack thread.

There is little to nothing so special combination or trick in this game that you could tell who did it first, or would matter at all, but generally if something gets popular and showcased by a popular streamer, it's always a case where some random guy did it before them, and it's just brought to their attention.

Showcasing PvP could most likely only work through some specific streamers, who in the past at least did some PoE PvP like Hegemony or Nugiyen (those I know), or doing now like ProjectPT or Demi, however negative we feel about their attitude, effort, viability we must support them. Trying at whoever is the most popular streamer atm would only result getting shit on if PvP is in none of their interest, so we have to work with what we got. I know Hege did mentionable HLD efforts in the past, but he already given up on PvP because of the balance, but I'm pretty sure if he would sense that he could make a change by helping us giving attention to balance problems would be a nice start, and I hope he is not the only one out there.

is pvp good in this game? im new player and want to try pvp, what are good builds? I have about 25c to spend, can probably farm some later too
