Hey, i love this!
Tryed to get this build working on my Legacy Ranger.

Biggest problem for me is my survivability against Bosses (and Exiles), usually i dont die, but if I die i get rekt in 0.5sec face to a wall.
So wise guys of this thread please tell me what i should upgrade, and what are my fails? maybe its my passive also? i dont know. tryed pretty much.

My Equip here:

For the Flasks:

For Boss switch Onslaught with this:

Passive Skilltree:

My Skills in Hideout with Aura (Discipline, Hatred, Icegolem, Herald of Ice):

P.s.: Would a Legacy RotC be better then my bow?

I'm sorry if this question has already been answered, but what would the differences of running HoT/Wrath over HoI/Hatred be? I definitely prefer the chance to freeze mobs while mapping as it helps a lot with defense but I figured maybe there might be a different method as far as a DPS aura and Curse tool.

you die quickly sometimes? those are the moments where you can't leech because you miss attacks due to lack of accuracy. and probably lacking ES too.

yes double reach is better than your bow

Thanks for the answer. So biggest upgrade would be accuracy, i understand.

with double reach i go down from 8.8% crit to 6% crit on the Bow. worth it yes? how much pDPS should a decent reach have to be better? :)
do i use Gmp if i get an Reach?
thanks for all this help!

Hey everyone, I decided to try Signalshot this league and had a lot of fun continually investing money and customizing the build to my liking. With double beyond being so OP for xp this league I figured I'd try for my first 100 as well, here is my twist on a TS focused version of this build for mapping at 96+(I did courtyards from 96-100) since I found TS to be the best skill for clearing double beyond.

Had a blast taking this build from a ratchet 5-link death's opus to the gear above and doing all the content along the way.

Oh and just in case it isn't obvious to someone new to the build, for guardians/shaper/uber lab etc. I'd switch to the standard Signalshot setup. I would change my chest to 6-link barrage setup, swap my quiver (signal fire), helm (+2 barrage), and vinktars (penetration) as well as respec the two damage conversion points on my tree (winter spirit node) to something else.

A few questions...

1. What would be the 'minimum' required ele resists for this build?

2. Why does RotC count as better than a good harbinger? the low crit base seems to really suck as far as my short experience goes.. is it just the additional arrows?
wouldn't a nice harbinger such as some guy linked few replies before be better?
would love a detailed answer for that...

3. How would you go about crafting a diamond/opal ring? alt+regal till you get flat+WED + res/accuracy/str/int? or what should i filter in poe.trade for a rare one?
I'm having a hard time calculating DPS for a Harbinger vs a ROTC too. In my PoB under 'Calcs' using Socket Group 'Tornado Shot' should I be multiplying my 'Skill Hit Damage' by my 'Projectile Count' in 'Skill type-specific Stats'. I have a decent amount of ex to spend on a bow and I can't figure out if a legacy RoTC is better overall than a really nice crit Harbinger.

Congrats on the 100! You used a pretty clever approach by using TS for 360 clearing (which is obviously quite beneficial for beyond/breach maps) and switch to traditional Signalshot for Guardians/Shaper/Uber Atziri. It seems TS is the best AoE skill provided it is supported well, particularly by using the +2 TS helm and taking advantage of the Fork granded by Rigwald's Quills. Ice Shot and LA can match it in maps that don't require 360 clearing, but TS takes over in maps that benefit from 360 clearing.

One thing I'm curious about - did you find that the Pierce gem was better than a Chain gem in your TS links? Pierce negates Fork 50% of the time, but at the same time there's a pretty big weapon dps swing when transitioning from Chain with its big damage penalty to pierce with its damage multiplier.

Thanks! You bring up a good point about chain, I actually think it's better than pierce probably 99% of the time for this setup (I realized after I hit 100 Fyndel put up a similar version of the build using doomfletch and he used chain over pierce as swell). However, I'm a firm believer of the "go by the feel" approach and for my situation multiple factors made me choose pierce instead. My only goal was hitting 100 so I went as defensive as possible on flex slots like jewels, tree, flasks. With my financial situation and dislike of constantly trading, I had to run shaped courtyards instead of shores or primordial pools where the higher initial damage of running pierce felt better than chain for one shotting packs.
