[2.6] SignalShot™ CI Full Ele Conversion TS/Barrage / Shaper & Uber Deathless / with video!

Can anyone tell me how much worse dps wise this build would be as say and elementalist witch? I've recently hit 100 on her and have been wanting to try a ranger build out. I am aware of the ascendancy drawbacks. Is there anything critical that would make this not work as a witch? I am planning on using op gear if that makes a diff. Thanks in advance.
I see the passive tree for Skyforths + legacy Vinktar, and one without Skyforths, what if i have Skyforths but not Legacy Vinktar??

guys for item testing, please use path of building program. it's amazing! you can test any item you want, brood twine, glyph mark, 360 pdps binger, 430 pdps binger, reach of the council; anything you want!

I've had an opportunity recently to run PoB's dps numbers against calculations by hand, and unfortunately there seems to be a big disparity at least at higher levels of damage. I was thinking of making a post on how to do the calculations by hand for those wondering what bow to buy or how to gear the character. The calculations themselves are pretty quick because we don't have to worry about things such as burn or poison.

Another way to do it is to run demonstrations with white Minotaur maps and just time how long it takes to take down the Minotaur to determine the true dps, and see if it coincides with the calculated values.

Assuming that PoB's calculations all skew in a similar manner translates into PoB still being useful in making comparisons between specific pieces of gear without needing to own that gear first, but I'm sure many want to know the exact damage outputs before committing to buying very expensive items.
u didn't say which gems and what color sockets to do for 6L chest

what to do?

yeah.

You'd be much better off leveling a Pathfinder to 90 than using a level 100 Elementalist. The Elementalist has only two good ascendancy notables (Pendulum and Liege), because Paragon is largely unnecessary especially at level 100, and Mastermind only allows you to penetrate around a third of your Barrage damage for 25%. Elementalist also loses two unique flasks because you're forced to run blue anti-bleed, anti-freeze, and anti-shock flasks. On top of that you cannot run an Alchemist's Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline unless you sacrifice another unique flask, and that's a no-go because Dying Sun and Vinktar offer a massive amount of dps for the build. With a defensively-oriented QS flask you'll be moving a lot slower than a Pathfinder. Your damage will be sufficient to 1-shot packs with high end gear (which any ascendancy can do) but you'll be clearing maps slower.

Honestly the most fun aspect of the build for me is being able to indefinitely sustain an Alchemist's QS of Adrenaline while mapping, so by running an Elementalist you will miss out on the experience. Level a pathfinder to 90 and crush content that way.

Use budget tree.
is taste of hate worse than a silver flask? the build doesn't recommend taste of hate. it seems pretty good defensively and offensively.

Silver Flask gives you better clear speed because of the boost to movespeed, but you can swap in ToH to improve offense and defenses versus T16 bosses. If you are doing a lot of damage on your AoE clear skill and can 1-shot most packs you might consider using Innervate in the links to gain Onslaught while mapping and ditch the Silver Flask in favor of a ToH. Another possibility is upgrading the Silver Flask to a Kiara's Determination if you don't have Skyforth and are concerned about stuns.

thanks. that's pretty informative.

I'll try the innervate idea, taste of hate feels safer than silver flask even though you lose clear speed. It feels wrong to just leave a taste of hate in the stash and only use it on t16/shaper/uber atziri.

Which link do you take out from LA for innervate?

I got LA - LMP - PPAD - Inc Crit Strike - WED - Pierce
