devil's advocate:
i don't think it's THAT bad. i never used it until recently, and i figured it would be wayyyyyy worse than it is, due to all of these threads/complaints. given that it has a 5 sec cooldown and activates when one's hit, i think it should be comparatively strong. it's probably a bit too strong (~25-50%?), but i don't think it's overtuned by that much. the char i used it on has a large deal of increased ele dmg (and spell dmg, i never checked if spell dmg influences winter's output, i figured it does since it's "cast") and ele pen, and it seems to hit for appx 1/4 of one's average health pool. i honestly thought it would be retardedly OP one-shot territory for this char, given all the focus to winter. imo, it's farrrrrrrrrrrrr below scorch, explosions, and etc; in terms of imbalanced damage in pvp. it seems to be in line with some of the other glove mods, ie: ire. which i saw kill some chars in sarn earlier tonight. of all things. *shrugs* [Removed by Support] "Your forum signature was removed as it was considered to be inappropriate and a breach of our Code of Conduct." ...it was quotes. from the forum. lolz! "  this is my winter. I am not even low life. Without any aura buff. My winter have 42% pen (items) Those numbers are for 1 projectile. Add 50% more coz I use point blank. At melee distance you take 3 of those proj. proj have culling strike ( corrupted weapon) Without the overload buff dps is "only" 20-33k So, balanced? this build was focused on winter only, It was my first attempt to counter rupenus/keilc.... How it worked? LEap slam + brightbreak + eclipe (corrupted culling so my winter also cull lol)--- outrun KB/ranged users then leap on their face triggering winter, 1 shooting them. Very fun build because if you miss you need to escape or it s death for you. Called it the "super rabbit". We need more builds like that. Get near someone so your automatic 1 hit kill mechanic can clean up the rest.
