Chris really liked the idea of a PVP supporter Pack, and this idea has never been discussed before! He wants PVP fixed, and will go to the team with it even if it might prove to be challenging.

I definitely did mention something very familiar in January : ) I even listed all the reasons why.

Ahfack and I discussed his more-original-than-Grindcore's-idea idea, mainly the stuff you'd get from it. Rigging armor and effects is, from what I can tell, a bit of a pain in the dick to do. Think it'd be easier to get hideout deco, like the stuff in Daresso's Dream/Grand Arena, like the blue flower pots, blue petals falling, swords. Shit like that.
But I do like the idea of tiers.

Grindcore, what you did was amazing. I really liked all of your suggestions and I would've fully backed any of those ideas. I think explicitly speaking about a supporter pack that focused on pvp with little-to-no mtxs to make had never been discussed.

I wanted it to be a surprise so I didn't mention it here, but I did mention the falling flower petals ho deco from Darresso. That way people that buy more than 1 pack could have something original where multiples could actually be useful. And yes, the effect already is in the game and just needs to be activated as a h/o deco. So no new mtx technically.

I am always hesitant to suggest any mtx that goes onto a character model because GGG habitually has issues with certain mtxs and models. We see official things all the time that might look good on templar or marauder but not duelist or look really good on witch but not marauder etc...


Chris and I have had a couple more exchanges since I last updated, and I definitely have some great news for PVP!!!

Not specifically about the packs, but something extremely important!!! I'm waiting for clarification on what I have his blessing to share before posting.

What do you guys think, reddit or not?

Reddit is about collecting the views, and getting some support from the silent crowd. The loud haters are always there, but they are the minority, ignore them. You can delete the post after a few days so noone can reference it as "people have spoken, we hate it".

It's about tactics when posting, you have to be smart, present it as some material reddit likes. For example, I have 3 tournament videos on youtube, and only one of them was posted on reddit, but not with some title like "yo here is a pvp tournament" but to show a bug where you can gain the 90+ hardcore achivement if you enter a hardcore cross-league pvp arena with a 90+ softcore char. It was a 38 upvote thread, the effect on viewer counts in comparsion:



Since it was a PSA post there was like no hater comment at all, but still achived a good amount of visitors, and I imagine many of them were going there to check a bug, but stayed to watch pvp gameplay they didnt see before.

True. Yeah, I know how to work the angle for sure. Having said that, that just backs my theory that this isn't for reddit because there's really no angle to be had.

Okay! Chris responded again and I have his blessing to share the following information with the community.

This is a direct copy/paste from Chris during our convo:

I spoke to the balance guys about the T values and they agree with the importance of it. We may be able to include an update of these into 2.4.0, though that entirely depends when various developers finish with their part of the upcoming content. I think that including correct T values for new skills is a must for the future.

This is great news for 4 reasons:

-This is the first acknowledgment I've seen of GGG addressing skills not going through the pvp damage reduction formula (No T Value).

-All skills will be assigned T values, as early as 2.4, but as he mentioned it depends on how everything else is going. I know this isn't a guaranteed timeframe, but it is them agreeing they need to be fixed sooner rather than later and are showing they are going to do something about it.

- All New skills introduced will have T values.

- We do not need to purchase anything in order for the T values to be addressed! They are handing this on their own, like many agreed should be the case anyway.

I'm really happy with the outcome so far!!!


So what about the PVP supporter packs?

In the immediate future, it seems unlikely, but he admitted (and we knew from the start anyway) that this will take time. This is not a definitive "No". He still likes the idea, and will continue to bring it up with the team when the opportunity arises to discuss it and/or make changes. I have asked him if they need any input from the community in the future to please reach out, and we'd be more than happy to help in a harmonious manner that can benefit everyone.


For people just now reading this thread and/or haven't posted here yet, please post if a PVP supporter pack is something that interests you. We should continue to try and gather concrete numbers for GGG because this matters!

For everyone that has already posted and shown support, a sincere and deep thanks for helping. Judging by the T value discussion, I think we're finally starting to make some waves, and we just need to work together in order to continue.

If there are any updates I will come here and post!
