I've been getting a lot of questions in Perandus Sarn from people about the build, so figured I would post something! For the record, I had no idea Lapiz was making a storm caller or I would have probably picked a different skill (HA !), but I felt our builds were so different it was still worth posting mine. Everyone else I see rocking this skill is low life or CI. I honestly didn't know if this would work and just decided to go with it anyway. I really like it!

I started this toon a couple weeks after Perandus started, and decided I wanted to do a life-based caster. I have to give my buddy Jkruede a shout out here, because (as I'm sure others exist) he's the only other life-based caster I've seen really pull it off and reach L100 (pre-ascendancy).

I actually used Elemental Overload and Vaal Pact for leveling because I didn't want to 1-shot myself to a reflect mob (which can happen). Everyone told me not to use it, but it was more defensive solely for leveling as I don't have as much time to recover from deaths. :) Obviously, I am no longer Ele overload or Vaal Pact.

Inquisitor should be obvious of why it's the best, but just in case I have to post it, take Inevitable Judgement and Instruments of Virtue. :)

Keep in mind, all of this stuff I'm using is just in Perandus league. I have a few nice items, and still some shit items, but I'm not investing too heavily in stuff I have/can get cheaply in sc. No messing with Enlighten etc... etc... So there's tons of room for improvement, but it seems to be doing the trick! I'm still a 5L, and don't really feel like investing in a 6L unless I get another brittle drop or something. Life leech gem is very important for leveling, but in pvp recolour that red to a green slot for BCR/Added Cold.

For leveling, you can use more defensive jewels with life and reach about 6k which is very nice.

Some notions:

The amu is nuts ;o

The added lightning gem seems very out of place! You will want to use echo/incaoe instead I think?

104% life from tree without jewels seems super low? :P

I also thought about doing this as life based but it felt like you wouldnt get high enough crit %.. You must be at 60% or smthing? Seems painfully low and inconsistent..

Going +1 belly with dagger+shield might be an even better option to get close to capped crit and a loooot more damage? This way you could use tempest shield as well, which is pretty nuts even on a 4link because you are an inquisitor.

I'm using a pledge 5l so free spell echo. I have that blue socket for added light/aoe/con for the mean time. Aoe for trappers. In psc, 75% people are trappers or spark lol. Con for maps with enfeeble or tank melee guys. Again, I'm using a pledge so L30 spell echo is always on.

I had more life but was still getting 1shotted by traps, so for the mean time I've chosen to drop down to 5k life for more damage. Obviously when he rolls to sc I will have significantly more life bc of leg kaoms and I still gain significant dps. Reg kaoms is great for league bc no one is using them and when I got mine I got it for about 20c under 1ex. (1 brittle drop got me the weapon 5l, kaoms, and CoB).

Did you see the future items spoiler? When I can use my permanent staff I will be using a different setup with empower (in order to achieve level 28 storm call which beats out the belly+1 and I get to wear leg kaoms too which will put me around 7-7.5k life with acro/phase acro). My melee guy is 9.5k life with acro, so I feel like for a caster, 7k-ish is very nice.
Spell Echo/AoE/Con will go in the blue slot then, added light just a stopgap at the moment.

My crit is around 60ish now but I have no crit on pledge (obv) and no crit on gloves (they're shit) bc I'm in league. 144 from tc-on-hit vb's I already have in sc and 146 from the +3 staff I already have in sc, and my crit will be upwards 82-84ish which I'd be more than happy with.

So basically, on paper, it looks to be 7.3k life w/ acro/phase acro, 84%crit, level 28 storm call with 50% block pen. That's the goal anyway :)

2,120 w/ 381 useable with 2 auras and no enlighten w/ pledge.

I can stand there and do 13 consecutive casts before I'm out of mana.

Im guessing sidro meant how will ur mana be after you swap to voidbringers and get rid of the pledge
