" neat idea, but i recommend a different setup With a 4l you loose Rapid Decay and Burning Dmg, with Geofris 80% elemental damage for 1 spelltotem level, which is not worth it. The other supportgemlvl are worth less than the curselevel. you would get. BUT if you want to use orb for cursing i would do it like this: - RF setup in the chest - CoH + Orb + Flamm + Ele weakness in the helmet - Blasphemy + Temp chains + Determination (or something ele) in another slot You get your defensive aura + defensive (and reliable) temp. chains debuff, the orb doesnt help defensive wise against flickerstuff, firehounds etc. In addition you save 3 skillpoints normally invested in aura reduction nodes and still have 15% free mana which is enough to cast searing bond and any utility spell. Ill give this orb a chance too and try it, maybe it works for me or not (casttime, cooldown, aoe in open maps). Mentioned coh setup in the guide, too. Especially for HC a good option. How hard is it to roll +1 curse on an ammy? Im thinking of just vaaling every life + some resists ammy and dropping the Doedre ring for a proper one. As bonus it means you can use 2x Timeclasps for Temp Chain maps.

" Pretty hard, one of the rarest implicits. I would use one too, but its pretty expensive to get one with enough dex and decent stats. 2x Timeclasps is not necessary for this build, doesnt affect the clearspeed (except traveling between packs ofc). Was bored at work and was browsing various of pages looking for more ideas for RF totems and surprised to see a decent job u did here, my tree is pretty much the same as yours just made more for a hardcore, with skipping of heart of flame and adding few extra points elsewhere to be more tanky, kinda looking forward to using GMP-ice spear, havent did that since ancient old spork totem times, anyways, good job on the stuff so far.

OK, stupid question time. This is probably obvious but I gotta know:

Sorry for this generic / noobish question in advance. I try to look up a lot of things, but for theory or min/max questions I need to rely on the smarter among us.
My question is how good this build will be compared to the FT alternative that would take advantage of the ascendancy passive to let totems taunt. Seems like it would be far safer and easier to stack IIQ/IIR while maintaining high def. How does this build compare alternatively? I assume the clear speed will be markedly higher if nothing else? |
