Ok, so for Shock Nova to deal more damage you need to hit with the 150% dmg area.
There still is less damage effectiveness, so overall ice nova should be better. Shock Nova has superior damage, due to shock, but with three dragons you would lose that. I don't see why you would want to use that helmet. I really like that idea but unfortunately math says it isn't good. | |

Hi i'm new to the game and this is the first guide my eye caught :)
Could you plz someone give some hints as to what spells should someone 6 level try to get? Or every that is available at the store? Trying to play it ice mode for starters and see how it goes as my character progresses. Thanks in advance and gratz for the guide. | |

For shock nova, it can still work if you are good at aiming just the edge of the pack. But you need to find a way to add some fire damage for shock. Anything in the ring would get shocked then get the full shocked damage in the same cast.
Regarding curses, agreed Atziri is better over averages, but I thought the issue at high level were more the one shot issues, which dodge/evade do not solve. | |

Ok. I followed your advices and now I fell more safe. But just a little bit more. Bosses are killing me easier than a sleeping mosquito.

I just tried to do a WHITE 1 tier map and the boss kill me oneshoting. I just can't do NOTHING. If there a group of white monsters, I kill them. A pack of blue monsters.. hmm... okaaay... but finally I kill them. Some rare monsters and bosses just f*ck me. My passive skill tree dodn't change because I didn't level up. I can say more. @Weesary - is there a reason why you have only Warlord mark in your chest? where is he Assassin mark?
Also, you should really sort your Links and gems. How much HP you have? Did you cap your ressistences? Answer that so we can go on and see wats the issue. @Shinro28 - Yes it is, because the budget you need to makw this build work isnt too high. @jrn23 - What ever you feel mate, it can be Arc, Ice Nova, Lightning Tendrils...Until you have a couple links for Ice Nova and then you can start using it permenantly (After you get Spell Echo you'll be able to use Ice Nova properly). As for the Shock Nova chat, I don't like the aiming circle thingy. Regardless, Theory is nice. You should take the Shock Nova and use it to see how it REALLY functioning with this build setup. " Looking at your gear, you need to work on the links for your equipment. Vorici can get you to 4L really easily for very few jewlers and fusings. Find an area that is easy for you to run and is lvl 60+, and just spam run it. Pick up all the rare drops and all the drops that you can sell for chromatics, and all currency that drops. Sell chromes for chaos when you have enough/don't need them, and use the vendors to upgrade alterations to jewlers, and then to fusings if you need them. When you have your links sorted out you can keep doing the same thing to build up your currency, and then trade up to chaos/exalted orbs. Use those to find upgrades to your gear. First to upgrade would be to a Pledge of Hands, you can buy one for 1ex on standard with low amount of sockets and low spell dmg roll, then use vorici to get the sockets and links you need, and chromes to get the right colours. Repeat for every item you need. | |

Honestly the last change to the tree where you removed quick recovery circle of nodes has completely screwed me over, constant mana problems now with 4l ice nova. Didn't think it would have that much impact before I changed, but its ridiculous. Should make a note to keep those nodes while levelling, maybe respec later. The impact is very significant.
