Poison won't change your tooltip. It's an indirect damage.

"The base damage per second dealt by a given application of poison equals 8% of the combined physical and chaos damage dealt by the hit which applied that particular instance of poison."

So let's say you deal 1,000 damage on a hit.

Your base poison DoT for that singular hit will be 80 over two seconds. Then it gets modified by applicable modifiers.

So let's say you have a total of 100% increased damage between DoT, Area Damage and Poison Damage. That means you will deal 160 poison DoT over two seconds.

I had never such a smooth lvl experience like with your icestorm build
Its extrem strong AND i can lvl with es from 39 on. I was NEVER such fust in lvl
and made yesterday a full key run in normal lab with lvl 48 and did not die. thats
never happend bevor. And an know know why some "shitty uniques" was created. I love
ictomb and shavronnes pace now really much. will see how it works in merciless but
til now i am verry impressed. Thanks. I never had tried such a build myself. Awesome

I got one too. Think it's ok to lvl with caustic arrow from 36 with it?

I'd wait until about level 50, but with a +3 that early you could definitely give it a try if you wanted to.

I leveled from level 4 as caustic arrow and I found it actually very smooth in legacy league. Maybe it was the AoE change, or perhaps something else, but this is the most powerful I've ever felt as a low level caustic arrow user.

It was definitely slower going than a dedicated leveling build, but once I got into my 30s it was a very nice play style that started to resemble endgame (2 quicksilver flasks, drop a cloud on the run and let it do its thing. No waiting around).

It was pretty safe too, as I would either kite bosses and packs in a circle around a cloud, or I would just stay on the run to avoid them altogether. My only deaths were due to me falling asleep mid-strongbox after being awake for so long at league start :P

I can see the issue with trying to do this in HC, as I pumped every passive point into damage nodes for my first 60 levels just to help me level quicker (race style). Only in my 60/70s have I now started to take the life clusters to help start with mapping.

Playing in legacy, just 6l a silver bow. I hope its good.
