CA is an awfully dull skill I have to say. I'm sure this build works super well for what it was designed but it is very, very little fun. I'm considering to run another character just due to how unentertaining this build is.

Well your view might be partially due to whether you're high level or not.

CA cranks at high level - pop blood magic, run around like a mad man shooting off arrows that one-shot huge swaths of mobs and then looting.

At low levels, the build can be quite slow as you accumulate funds to get better gear.

At any rate, I really like high level CA play.
Well this became available for withdrawal in my stash tabs today:

Only about 3 weeks too late :-)
Yeah, that's precisely the point actually. Awhile ago they changed it so that race rewards won't be available in temporary leagues until after the first four weeks. It's to avoid giving anybody an advantage at the start.

I think the "not at the start" thing is fine. But after a week, anyone who's trying to be first to 100, first to kill the new boss, etc. has already either accomplished their goal (or nearly so) such that race uniques (maybe volls devotion as an exception) wouldn't have any impact.

Also, the market has largely settled down by then.

OtOH, I could have used this unique to help level my 2nd toon.

So I'd be in favor of scaling it back to unavailable for 1 week (and maybe the top race reward unavailable for 2 weeks).

Yeah, except things like Night's Hold are worth upwards of 1ex.

That's still big money early league unless you're a flipper or play the game 10 hours+ a day at the start of the league.

Gotta figure the economic advantage, too, and THAT would still have an impact up to about the three week mark.

Either way though, if you're gonna play for the whole league, anytime in the first four weeks is fine imho.

********

Oh holy SHIT, no wonder my gameplay's felt weird.

I'm not sure how long it's been going on, I think since I installed my new GPU, but the game's had me in predictive mode.

Touche. The resale value might unbalance the game if race uniques were made available as early as 1 week in.
More off-topic blathering :-)
Spoiler

Anyone have in mind a build that would work well with this?

+3 to melee gems just seems like something would work - but all the melee skills seem to scale off of weapon, not gem level.

I also dropped this yesterday:

Some sort of quasi-Mjolnir. I guess you'd want a rapid casting skill costing 100 or more mana to get best use out of the helm. It looks interesting enough that I'll probably tinker with it once I kill Shaper.
Thank you for all the advice in this thread so far, I'm having a great time with CA MF as a noob to the game. While the rolls are poor to average, I finished my bow today. I went all out for a 2 resist bow. I guess I could reroll them for another 2ex (+30c for service, "remove crafted mods" removes "can have multiple crafted" right???)... but that is for another time.

Grats on the bow!

I'm pretty sure it removes all crafted mods at once - I haven't tried this though so I may be wrong.

You can divine crafted mods as well. Wouldn't re-craft, just reroll it.
