[outdated] Caustic Arrow Solo Map MFer (20/300+)
So I have recently started playing again, and was interested in a Trickster version of this build.
So I basically tried to create a skill tree, but I kinda allocated a bit more nodes than I should. So i'm just wondering if you could check it out if I shared it to you, so you could tell me what I should drop on the tree? It would be much appreciated. Here it is: https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAwYAsNjXxKLZPLb5pMgU2jtw1PVvTINqjHSBFr_mgSaVtNHLvWHiyAx2grVI62NtbBEvAx42Ped0KwofQRvIVYXbGl3yz92lyxB7DkjxigzyvjoRlrcwtMX1SwceFAnC7MEAlS4TbSpbBbXw1SaIgl6NvxqNSVFS7PrrWyaS83_7FfBeRfljlcxU_qOK7T-95u4OPs_vevaj034VIABeJJ0tg90NLOkZjmJaGbRbr4azAO7tg9-YvqcUdSpNCC7Eom5pZU11yxjb5eY_J31bm42hItX4vTa3tupiLiOcxErIRZasR_T4R36NfpOZtyJuqlpS6yyiQITZQzG7nrXyqJrigAHR2sHDMzWSeA17w5tdTDKv63TtLlNaGti9wBrylwUt029vOw== Last edited by SirTox on Mar 2, 2016, 5:35:18 AM

" Working on a Trickster tree right now, check back soon. EDIT: Here's the Trickster tree, which I've also left on the OP in the first section. That said, unless you're playing Hardcore, there's no reason to do this build as Shadow for 2.2. I can't in good conscience recommend it. The only other reason you'd play it as Shadow is because you have a preference for the class itself. EDIT EDIT: For those who are playing Hardcore and want a levelling process for Trickster, I'm hoping to have one up for tomorrow but it's nothing that's all that different from how you would have done it in 2.1, if you levelled as Shadow for Talisman. It'll basically be the same principle as the Scion levelling process, just the progression will be different due to the starting point, obviously. Gems will be the same though: Firestorm + Flame/Searing Totem / Fire Trap -- or Orb of Storms + Spark / Lit Tendrils. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018. Last edited by Serleth on Mar 2, 2016, 6:09:35 AM

" Grats Serleth; and thanks for all the hard work you put into this thread - it's informative, and maybe best of all, friendly and fun. ================= I took a superficial look at the upcoming league challenges - they seem very similar to the Talisman challenges. As in Talisman there are a few high level content challenges upcoming such as "Clear Maps With 8 Mods" (will require a T15 full clear) and "Clear Twinned Maps" (will also require a T15 map). Just wondering... did anyone complete the T15 challenges from last league using a Caustic Arrow build of some sort? I like completing the challenges on my own and it would be nice to do them with a single character; I usually end up rolling some sort of magic find build though and then something for high level content (although Bladefall was so OP last league that you could both MF and clear high content with numerous BF builds). Hey guys. What about picking scion's slayer instead of occultist? This will give us flat 30% damage increase against rares and uniques (the type of mobs we struggle to deal with). Plus it will make us less depended on curse (easier non cruse maps) and need to kill recently. Though we will lose that cool 40 int node in scion's ascendancy tree. What do you think?

Have you found any useful enchants so far? I am guessing the helm slot is taken by the 8% increased radius one. And then like movespeed if you haven't been hit recently on boots

So I haven't read the last few pages, but is there any way that we know FOR SURE that Ranger's Far Shot doesn't work, while Scion's does?
I mean, could this be a phrasing issue? Should we be emailing Bex and asking? Or should I be trying to grind up a Scion in these last 2 days (standard)? Last edited by SpidaFly on Mar 2, 2016, 11:25:55 AM

" Btw the one with 8 Mods just requires you to do 10 out of the 15, so you can just do tier 1-10, which should be fairly easy. | |
I looked through the quest rewards - and if we really roll Scion and the rewards stay as they are there will be a whole lot of gems not available from quests / vendor. Altho getting those is a minor investment for non-levelled and non-quality ones, it's still going to take up time and some orbs.
then yes, the known enchants for helmets imply the radius for our arrow, but who knows what else there is in GGGs quiver to shoot at us :) @hank it's technically doable. You'd need a "surival kit" of some sort, exchanging all the MF pieces with life / EV and we already are tankier, but since we don't leech its a question of skill. Say T15 kaom's are pretty easy, shoot and circle the twins, dodge the slams / jump and shoot, circle, repeat :) but there are others I really don't like doing myself, and end up tossing some chaos for someone (or hop on the 820 train). if we play perfectly and the servers are not hicking up, it's doable for sure! actually there are only 1-2 challenges that I won't do myself, and 1-2 I cannot classify since I don't know bout the mechanic yet. gracias Serleth again, for all the dedication :) IGN: WildTortillaFart

" -15% chaos res = 15% more damage. Compared to 30% increased. So, nope. " Feel free to email Bex about it, and hope she gets back to you, but I'm 99% sure it doesn't work from Ranger. I left a post in the Gameplay Help section asking about it, someone else answered, and then GGG didn't. Which leads me to believe the guy that replied had it correct. That, and we know from the tree that anything scaling "attacks," inclusive of "projectile attacks" doesn't scale the cloud damage. I'll probably still test this at launch just to make certain of that last 1%. " I actually haven't looked into enchants at all, because I'm not in Alpha, and I haven't spotted a comprehensive list of what's available for what slot. Also, the 8% radius for the helmet slot applies specifically to Earthquake. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018. Last edited by Serleth on Mar 2, 2016, 1:38:16 PM

" According to https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/47py81/ascendancy_enchantments_compilation/ there should be an 8% radius one for CA. |
