[outdated] Caustic Arrow Solo Map MFer (20/300+)

That would be perfect. I'm also in MST.

Thanks, and see you in 7 hours ;)

Hi all

I'm in standard and i was thinking what would be better, legacy gloves with 14 IIQ and 17IIR or Auresize? (40-45 IIR)

C = (1 + (IIQ/100) * (1 + (IIR/100)

(This is for all your IIQ/IIR, not just the IIQ on that particular piece of gear).

So let's say you have 20/300 currently in the setup with my recommended gear, and the rare non-legacy gloves equipped have 25% on them

Your current C would be

C = (1 + 20/100) * (1 + 300/100)
= 1.2 * 4
= 4.8

Aurseize C IIR = 300 - 25 (rare gloves) + 50 (aurseize) = 325
Aurseize C = (1 + 20/100) * (1 + 325/100)
= 1.2 * 4.25
= 5.1

Similar math for your legacy gloves puts IIR at 292%, IIQ at 34

Legacy C = 1.34 * 3.92
= 5.25

So, whatever gets you the higher coefficient. Which is dependant on what your current IIQ/IIR ratio is now with all your other stuff on gear + whether you're just running IIR gem, or IIQ gem, or both gems. Etc.

And before you ask (because I know you're thinking it =D), the reason I don't use Aurseize in the guide is because this guide isn't intended to maximize MF, but rather provide a balance between survivability and the C coefficient.

Any adjustments players make sacrificing survivability for MF is at their discretion, but this guide is tailored toward newer players to try and make them as successful as possible, and for veterans who want to MF while still being able to push 92+ comfortably.

Great tip, thanks for the dedication!
Hi everyone! I have a slight problem. When I started playing this build I leveled using EK and it was so nice that i still use it at level 83. So I thought I would try to change to CA, but the (tooltip) damage is extremely low compared to EK. 3.5k vs 11.7k without frenzy charges and with damage auras for ek. I'm not really sure whether I want to try to invest a lot into spell damage and stick with EK or change to CA. Currently I have only put points in projectile damage (so no dot nodes).

Do you think I should change to CA or just stick with EK?

Over the long haul, you'll almost certainly be better off magic-finding with CA.

Due to the damage disparity, I'd probably stick with EK for now while leveling CA and related support gems in your weapon swap slots. I'd also look to get a +2 5-link bow.

With a 5-link +2 bow and somewhat leveled CA and supports I'd then make the transition.

We can probably give more detailed advice if you post your gear/tree.

Edit: Also make sure you're looking in the correct spot to see your actual DPS.

Thanks for the fast reply Hank! Currently my tree is a bit messed up because I couldn't decide what to do, but here it is:

https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAwIAAF4A7gHRAx4FLQW1CC4M8g5IFSAWvxmKGY4ZtBqPG8gfQSFgIuoj9iaVKk0qWyyFLOktgy5TMHE1kjY9OkI_J0MxQzZKyEt4TZJS7FT-Whph4mJaYqxlTWyMbqp07XXLdf159nvDhG-ExYqvjX6Nv5ARlcyXBpuNm7WdqqEiokCjiqXLr-u0xbVItfK3tr02vea-p8LswzPDOsSiy73N6s_d02_TftQj1ELYvdrB3ajfmOOE5oHo1upi6xTrY-0_7YPuDu969Pj2o_ba-WP7CQ==

Also, my jewels are pretty bad (no damage there), so that might be another reason my dps is low. I havn't found any good and don't want to buy any I might not use :P

I have no damage on my gear for either EK or CA. For CA I'm using a 5L +2 bow with conc effect, increased area, rapid decay, void manipulation and CA. For EK i'm using the most epic wand ever! A 3L lifesprig...
