It's more important to have the +3 than the maraketh base. When you're ready to craft your own dual res bow, that's when you go for maraketh. You'll always be able to sell your old bow and recover the cost

That's exactly the case here. I have my masters at max (Leo 3), so I believe I can do the crafting. So not sure if I should take my chances with RNG love or go risk-free with less convenient weapon.

I am a bit confused, I am currently doing this build as Shadow. Do you recommend going IR or not? If not can you link a non IR tree to go after.

That becomes your call. If you can find, and are patient enough, to wait for a 6L white, blue or crap rare Maraketh to show up, that's the safe play. I always opt to find a Maraketh myself, 6S, 6L, then craft it.

Yes, IR for Shadow. Acro is inefficient going with Shadow.

I have not investigated Windripper builds, so I can't answer this fully but my gut response is that Windripper relies on proccing the status ailments for the additional MF, which is probably difficult to sustain and rely on for boss kills.

What I did (and your mileage may vary), is I bought a 6 socket Markarth bow for 4 chaos and 5 linked it. Rolled +2 to bow gems and used that for awhile. As I built currency and alts, I would regal/scour until I got the right combination for multimod. Then I saved currency to multimod. It took me about 2 weeks I think, not really sure...but I just handed 1500 fusings over to my bud for the 6l.



That is what I am working with now. Next goal is a carcass jack. I'm currently using a Queen of the Forest.

I bought a 6LHarby and rolled the right mods I needed for my build with like 1200 Alts + 6 Regals. The bow was around 6 ex on Hardcore Tali. In my opinion the bowbase is not so relevant like most of the hipsters trying to tell you; a well rolled Quicksilver will even out the 6% MS you loose with any other base than a Maraketh.

Yeah, it's mostly a min-max thing, although it has greater relevance for other variations that don't run dual quicksilvers.

I don't need a ToH or any other unique Utility Flask for running Canyons 24/7 with this build.
