Hankinshol's done some nice math to help out with that, as well in the third post of the thread I've placed a C value calculator that you can download which will help you figure out what's better for your current MF setup. The higher the C value, the better.

Also about the leveling Serleth, you mention a +1 bow for PA leveling, what about the bow silverbranch that you can use at level 1, that one has +1 to bow gems, can I simply use that one for PA leveling if I choose to?

Silverbranch works nicely, if you have nothing else easily available, I used it from level 1 (or whatever) to 51, first with rain of arrow, and eventually with poison arrow from late 40s.

I started from level 1 just now so I'm using it, as soon as I get something better I will of course switch, my plan is to use PA from the moment I get method to the madness just because, well, I think it's a really fun skill and I'd like to get familiar with it (:

Silverbranch was left unmentioned because the guide was constructed for the purposes of starting in a fresh league.

But yeah. I should still put that in there. Adding it to my list of forthcoming edits.

I realized now that you said PA when linked with slower proj and conc effect so it makes for level 31 I think, so I might as well switch to death's harp at that point I guess (:

You can go pure bow leveling at that point if you want yeah (regular split/TS) but just to be clear, you won't want to PA with Death's Harp.

oh yeah I know, I'll be crafting as I level, I just meant if PA leveling turns out to not work that well for me, sorry I was insanely tired when I wrote that post hehe

Just wanted to ask about the MF aspect of the build a little bit.

I'm running a little low on Alterations (rip Jewel crafting...) and I wanted to get some feedback from others. I'm thinking just fast Dried Lake runs so I have some currency to sit on again.

How do people feel about the survivability of the build with Resistance penalties in Merciless? Mainly from using Andvarius x2 and other items? I am playing the Blood Magic version of the build but I would imagine the concepts still apply. Gear for reference:

And other MF gear when I obtain it. Would be losing pretty much all of my positive resistances in Merciless.
