PvP 1v1 Blitz feedback + Suggestion
" We already have negative rating in Swiss and ranked ladder why should blitz be the same ? I dont disagree that he has some solid points, but the blitz format should remain the same since its only 20 minutes. If the negative rating was implemented : 1st) much less games would be played overall 2) wouldnt be fair for the glass cannon builds 3) would substract a lot of the fun that blitz events offer currently For the OP, i cant see what's your problem with the current format is. beside that some people flamed/threaten you cause of your tactic/strategy. You should report them, and keep playing as you did, blitz is the event for everyone (casuals, "pros", tryharders or whatever) and doesnt have that competitive feeling that swiss has, and i for once would love this to stay the same. This wouldn't be fun at all if you lost points for dying in a round / losing.
I am one of those that rushes for a quicker round, if they are gonna stall it then I just log or suicide. I am playing for points and that is the best strat. | |
" Thats why we have FFA events, where everything is chaotic, the reason theres not so many ffa events is because people complained about everybody went facebreaker and oneshot, glasscanon builds. The ffa was fun in the beginning but turned chaotic, the same thing are happening now. Like Terrax stated. Its the best strategy to get points. The people will change to melee instant kill builds, and it will be very chaotic again. I am sure GGG wants many different builds in top 10. " Its totally different setup, and Blitz isnt chaotic, rushing =/= lack of tactic or strategy. FFA was not hated because of the chaotic element - that was what made it really fun. What killed FFA was COD, endless amount of traps, legacy fb, and the fucking teleportation every 3 seconds from one arena to another. (also the lack of balance that still plagues the lld scene) Also forget about diversity, and changing blitz aint gonna help in that matter. Trigger gems are still in the game and eligible for lld so yes, shield-using-melee builds (sword being the king this season as it was before season 1 when fb took over) will still dominate the scene together with the annoying trap/bow users. So for solo events we got : Swiss which is the most competitive of the events, where every defeat and victory counts if you want to get far. 12 minutes per round gives everyone plenty of time to use and employ their strategies. Best of 7, x stages. Blitz is the fast paced test of your character's versatility. Less competitive than Swiss, fast tactics must be employed to have the higher chance to win as much games as it is possible. Wise time management is required. 1 round, 20 minutes of carnage. FFA, a chaotic arena where small fights happen everywhere. At least as fast paced as Blitz, if not more, where tactics are of a much less importance. An event where everyone tries for as many kills as possible similar to Blitz, but due to the nature of the event the similarities with blitz end here. 20 minutes of carnage. Ranked ladder where you got as much time as you possibly could need to follow your strategy , nobody is rushing anyone, just like Swiss but not as serious or competitive, but with negative rating. Best of 7. As i see again the events i cant possible get why to implement what you believe to be a good change. Making blitz more similar to swiss and ranked ladder while still maintaining the 1 round rule seems out of place and not well thought at all. P.S. : Something i wanted to add. Blitz was the most beloved of the events with the highest average attendance in S1 (and instant favourite of many LLDers and alpha testers who did pvp before season 1), and nobody complained about the rules and the format. (the lack of explanation here says a lot) To end this here cause i see you dont have real arguments on the matter, next time someone flames/insults you because of your particular tactics/strategy (no matter which event), just write down their names and send a report (with screenshots if possible) to GGG support team. I gave you so much feedback on the matter and i dont see any real constructive replies from your side to counter any of the points made. All i can see is frustration by your side cause some random assholes threatened you, and the fact that Blitz's format doesnt help YOUR build. The format is that and part of being succesful at Blitz is to select/create an appropriate build for it. Dont ask for it to change cause it is just inconvenient for your toon. No to this. It's a BLITZ. If anything you should be punished for running around wasting time prolonging an inevitable loss. I absolutely hate people who run away or run in circles while I chase them for 45sec. This behaviour should be KICKED OUT or DEDUCTED points in a BLITZ event.
It should never make more sense to intentionally get killed just to escape being stuck in the ring with a dumb@$$ who runs away the whole time. IGN - Xukai
