What should I use instead of Orb of Storms?

And can't I just 6-link my Arc of Defiance myself with Orb of Fusing?

Hi, I'm currently using this build and for the first time I'm delving into higher end game content.

I was just wondering if there's another lightning skill I can replace arc with for when I arrive at the boss? I was thinking about swapping it with a stronger lightning gem but not sure if it'd work well with this build. I'm still kind of a noob.

You can 6-link it yourself, but the avarage number of tries is around 1500.
Quality increases the chance for a 6-link, but not by that much.
There have been times Iv'e 6-linked an item in <500 tries, but if you're unlucky it can end up being well over 2000...

Arc should be pretty decent at bossing since you get 15% more damage to Arc per remaining chain.
Since usually you don't chain at bosses, that means that the dps from Arc will be pretty high.

There are other builds with about the same setup that use Ball Lightning, but you'll need other support gems for that.
You could try to do the math with Crackling Lance, ... but I'm pretty happy with the good clear and decent boss dps that Arc provides.

i‘m trying to get my arc witch stonger and thought about double hex.

when i put it in pob only one method seems to work.
Trigger assassins mark on ring and awakened hextouch+storm brand+conductivity.

If i go conductivity on ring and proc assassins mark with storm brand it shows no improvement.

Is that a bug in pob or am i missing something?

(Awakened) Hextouch Support only support Hexes.
Both Marks and Hexes are curses and count towards the curse limit, but Marks can't be applied with Hextouch Support.

I'll start this off by saying thank you as this is my first character in PoE and following this guide has helped me out so much in navigating this extremely complicated but also extremely rewarding game.

I'm having some trouble navigating the very beginning of mapping, mostly with survivability. Could somebody take a look at my character and give me some advice? I had no idea what kind of things to be doing before starting mapping so I just figured I'd jump in at low level maps.

Ah. I misstook hextouch support for curses. My head hasn‘t proceeded the curse change :)
