Enki's Arc Witch - dead for now

This build is pretty smooth. I haven't played an Arc build in years, but after the buff I figured I'd give it a shot. I like how the guide is aimed at newer players, as a lot of other guides assume that the reader already has a pretty solid understanding of the fundamentals (not a bad thing, just saying). A great way to help immerse them into building a proper endgame character while understanding why they are making the choices they are. Works well on a budget. I was able to get up to T13 maps comfortably with under half an exalt in investment.

I'm only on my second day in maps, but after level 80 I had enough for some modest upgrades, so I bought the boots and some decent gloves. The rest of the gear was super cheap, and some of it I've been using well before I finished the campaign. For most items I'd only been spending between an alch to a chaos orb or so per slot,

The staff I used The Dark Mage to get and I got lucky with the +2 Lightning Gems when I transmuted it, but I was doing just fine on a 5L before.

Not sure how far I'm going to go with this character, but it's working out fantastically as a starter. We'll see how I feel about it after 90+.

Well, given I just dinged level 95, it's safe to say I'll be sticking with it for a while. I went ahead and upgraded a few things, and mapping with it has been nice and smooth. I haven't done any end game bosses yet (unless we count normal Atziri- I ran her for the flask), but I feel comfortable enough in T16s that I'll give 'em a try soon.

I also 6L the chest I was already using (the staff too, but I got a good deal on it when it only had 3 sockets) because at the time I couldn't find anything with higher ES and stats similar to what it currently has that was reasonably priced. That may have changed, but I think I'm good for right now.

Hey I noticed you opted for a rare belt instead of soul tether. I just hit 87 and I think I have about 4k life and 1.9k ES and still feel a bit rippy even in T10 maps. I am using a 5L Duskdawn until I can either make a 6L or get a 6L rare so my golems get killed in higher tier maps too and I often have to resummon in the middle of a metamorph fight.

What are your health/ES at for comparison and do you find yourself getting oneshot often?
Wave of Conviction, I've seen others mentioned this as well, where the monsters gets vulnerability against fire instead of lightning, anyone have a workaround for this?
Hey, I'm enjoying this so far in metamorph. How come we go for Divine Judgement instead of Lightning Walker? The 25% lighting damage seems like it'd be a solid DPS boost.

Hey!
What do you recommend for more single target DPS? I mean, the build is very good but i feel lack of DMG at T14+ for the Bosses and Metamorphs. What i should change in this build?
And what i should add to be more tanky? Im getting 1shotted by everything in T13+

Hey I'm new to POE and I have a question

guide says I should link Conductivity with Wave of Conviction and Curse on Hit support
well.. if I do that I cant use conductivity
if I dont link Curse on Hit it works again
can someone explain why it doesnt work for me? or why you would link them together if they dont work together?

also Act 5 says look for a staff (not warstaff) .. but the good unique option the guide suggests (X9rg9p's Crank) is a warstaff according to poe wiki? I dont quite understand?

thanks :)

Yeah, Soul Tether seems neat, but I'd have to give up some defenses to use it. I'd have to get a different (read: more expensive) amulet and possibly different gloves, which would mean me giving up culling strike which to be honest is a huge part of my survivability. I currently have 5K HP and 1800 ES. The only things that oneshot me are Metamorphs with rippy mods. I also play maps with damage mods a lot more carefully. Things can still hit hard, but between flasks, steelskin, fortify, and the leech I'm not having any trouble really. In fact, From 91 to 95 I've only died a couple times. The main thing is to keep moving. I've found this isn't a build you can relax with. You can casually clear whole screens, but you can't tank a volley of projectiles haha.

Conductivity is a curse. When it is linked to Curse on Hit, you can no longer cast that curse yourself, instead when Wave of Conviction hits a target it will apply the curse it is linked to. You can see this in the Curse on Hit skill description.

The guide mentions not to get a warstaff because a magic or rare one will roll melee stats, not caster ones. The uniques are OK to use because the rolls are fixed and they have caster ones that are useful to this build. So if you aren't using a rare then you don't have to worry about it.

Ok gotcha. I'm glad to know my HP/ES isn't too far behind, I just need to refine my play. I think I am going to replace my Onslaught gem with Culling Strikes as I am already getting Onslaught from my flask anyway. Also I know my chest piece could use some more ES as it has low base rolls.

Thanks for replying!

Divine Judgement is 4 nodes vs the 2 for Lightning Walker. Resist penetration + the elemental damage increases you get for taking it turns out to be more DPS than taking Lightning Walker. I like the idea of using Lightning Walker around level 96 as those the last 2 clusters will take a while to get (if you are pushing for 100) and there isn't much else to grab in the meantime that'll do as much for you. Also, I can't see your characters, but if you have taken all the other nodes, and aren't quite high enough level to grab Divine Judgement yet, feel free to take Lightning Walker in the meantime and respec later. Ultimately at 94+ Divine Judgement is the better choice.
