Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page

Hi guys,

I began to craft my daggers, but i'm struggling with the hybrid spell damage/chaos crafting recipe. I'm farming syndicate as much as i can and still no sign of this recipe... is there a trick to make it easier?

I was wondering if somenone who already have the recipe could help me to craft it? i'll pay of course the crafting cost.

Thanks in advance

Nota : i know "trigger a socket spell" craft is not the one recommended but it allow me to play 3 auras (wrath, zealotry and discipline) while having storm brand and enfeeble lvl 20 autocasted (yes im a lazy player). Thanks to this i can keep both strom brand, CWDT+IC+ID and lighting spire trap 5L.

I was thinking of applying same technique of casting storm brand/curse automatically but I wasnt sure how it works. Therefore my question.
Does it cast the stormbrand/curse at your feet or casts where the Arc is hitting?

It casts both in the same time where Arc is hitting every 4-5s

last patch i used storm brand with this, but the "trigger a socketed spell" has an internal cooldown of about 5seconds if i recall. not breaking, but keep that in mind

edit: without curse on hit, i think it will alternate between storm brand and enfeeble, so you only get 1 brand every10s and 1 enfeeble every10s

This sounds freaking amazing. We only need stormbrand-blind-enfeeble on bosses so this should work perfectly. It's a huge QoL improvement and frees one bar. Definitely gonna try it once I get that craft unlocked.

Actually to be more precise, its not exactly in the same time, but it trigger one right after the other (depending on your cast speed with arc) with each a proper internal cooldown of 5s.

For example if you use whirling blade it will trigger only one spell, but if both spell cooldown is over when you cast arc (that is not always the case) its liked they trigger both in the same time.

**CRAFTING**

Guys, if you need help with crafting daggers - PM me in game. With a little price, i will craft them as you wish :) (probably similar to mine) ;)

Regarding "trigger socketed spells".
I was testing it in 3.5 as well. Having Storm Brand there was a huge improvement for me - didn't have to bother casting it all the times, each time i used arc - it was casting and re-casting, constantly refreshing bufs as well. Regarding "where it will be casted" - socketed spell will be casted under your cursor - so you can target it without issues.

A few questions for Enki, or anyone else knowledgeable enough:

1. General question that is relevant to lightning spire trap for this build: what is the interaction between temporary buffs and duration-based skills? Easiest example here would be the extra chaos damage granted by Atziri's Promise. If I pop the flask and then immediately cast LST, the trap should get increased damage; however, does the trap's buff end when the flask effect ends, or does it last for the entire duration of the skill because the buff was in effect when it was placed? Conversely, if I already have laid a trap and it detonates, will popping the flask have any effect on the active trap's damage?

The question also applies to triggered buffs, like arcane surge, onslaught, and innervate, and other duration-based skills like storm brand. The answer has significant tactical implications; for instance, will I get more damage out of LST if I pop my 3 damage flasks and trigger onslaught before casting it, or should I wait to trigger buffs until the traps start doing damage to maximize the buff duration?

My guess is that buffs must be in effect when traps are thrown in order to work, and that they subsequently remain in affect for the entire trap duration, because a trap is created with these buffed stats and technically remains an independent source of damage; l duration spells like orb of storms or storm brand, where our character is still the direct source of damage, would gain and lose buffs as they are applied to the character. But I'm really not sure, and I haven't been able to find a discussion on the topic.

Also, I assume these buffs don't apply to minions or auras, even auras like wrath that add flat damage?

2. Not entirely unrelatedly, I am curious about the mechanics of the watcher's eye buff "Gain Arcane Surge for 4 seconds when you create Consecrated Ground while affected by Zealotry" (exact text from wiki). Does this mean we gain arcane surge whenever we use a sulphur flask? Because that would be a TIGHT addition to the EB version of the build, since there's no way for us to proc arcane surge the old-fashioned way.

Thanks for the help!
