Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page

@Siruy
Flasks, they're really important and missing them is the cause of your current issues. You should've gotten all the base utility flasks from quests, check out the Flask Section on how to set them up.

@EloProf
This tree is a little better with Devouring Diadem, gives more DPS, Life, ES, Chaos Res and some Block Chance, only Dex and Attack Speed is slightly lower.

hp1
You've skipped lots of life nodes, try this tree.

Zithras
I've made some improvements yesterday, one of them being to use Herald of Thunder until we have all the reduced reservation nodes, so we're able to run Enfeeble during the acts. Sounds like you were right between those two steps when i've changed it, apologies for that! Just switch Wrath to Herald of Thunder, but keep the former in your secondary weapon slot to let it gain experience.

@kostasbaleno
You barely have any Energy Shield on your gear and as others pointed out, no MoM which is the cause of your issues. Not sure if you've got any pieces saved up that can be refined with benchcrafting, otherwise remove the auras for now and farm a bit. While you're at it, also look out for daggers and update the flask setup. Another minor detail is that you took Arcane Expanse instead of Static Blows.

@subcutan
Build works fine, most comments were from people who didn't properly adapt to the new setup yet and for the rest, i've worked to improve those issues. All minimum ES values are listed in gear section and are balanced around what's reasonable to get through putting a benchcrafted ES prefix on upper tier ES bases.

I've done many small changes yesterday to improve the build, with the main goal to eliminate weak points during the acts. It was a bigger change from the 3.5 to 3.6 setup this time, which is usually bound to come with some things to improve and constructive feedback is really important for me to find those things, so thanks to everyone who didn't resort to mindless bashing! As always, you can find all changes in the Changelog, please read through them and adapt if you're having issues.

You have done a great job, Enki, and those of us who bothered to read the pretty extensive updates are impressed by your ingenuity. I know you have tested many possible permutations of this build and would not have redesigned it lightly.

I too am feeling a bit squishy--stuck near tier-8 maps at level 83--but my gear (especially jewelry) isn't up to snuff yet, and this build truly comes alive with a 6-linked Inpulsa's.

One QoL question I do have is regarding the 2 auras + enfeeble aura. I know we incorporate these--3 active skills on top of the 8 allowed--by casting Discipline, Wrath, and Enfeeble and then changing the hotkeys back to the other skills we need. I was just wondering if there's any quick way to do this, or if it's necessary to manually switch these around every time you die/restart in order to get everything in place.

Thanks again for all the work you're doing to keep us on top of all the changes! :)

Thank you! Sorry, there's no way I know of to mass enable auras.

The Devouring Diadem looks really good for the build.

EDIT: Is anyone having a problem with Life Leech or I am missing something?

You're probably missing something. And so am I.
Only porblem I'm dealing with currently. The clearing is insane (dare to say I feel no difference from the last league's clear speed), I'm digging the EB's mana sustain since I could just ditch mana flask for now.
The only thing I'm struggling with is survivability, mainly because I have no life leech at all. Can someone more experienced check on it? Is it supposed to be this way?

Do you have paragon of calmity? It gives us 0,5% ele dmg as life leech.

On the other hand, I see a nice node, just for 2 skillpoints "Lightning walker" , maybe worth investing if we replace the helmet with devouring diadem?

Yeah, u're right, I still have to do the third lab to get Paragon of Calamity.
About the Lightning walker is it worth getting it without having the devouring diadem?
I just don't see this thing working out with EB+MoM. It doesn't matter if you have 500 or 2000 ES, if you get hit hard once, you're with your pants down for next couple of seconds because you can't cast anything.
Most of the comments that I see here are about leveling and early maps.. Even syndicate is total BS at the moment, most of the time a single hit will put you down to 0 ES, and then you're just running around hoping not to die in next couple of seconds :/
Also one more thing that I've noticed is that I don't even have enough sustain to stand still and spam Arc when I actually could do so..
Very rippy all in all compared to godlike performance in 3.5 ;<

I gotta have to disagree. I've done multiple SSF testruns and leveled it in SSF Synthesis just fine, and while the thread may not reflect that very well right now, there has been lots of positive feedback on my stream.

As always, I will continue to monitor feedback and improve the build further. Some of those changes may be to change back to the old Ascendancy order (Paragon first, then going towards Beacon) and using Zealot's Oath until we have a different source of ES Regen, which eliminates the "one big hit and all ES is gone" issue.

Dear Enki91, your guide is very clear and simple. Actually, i'm level 44 and cruise around the end of the 4th act. I was lucky, got a tabula rasa and a reverberation rod, great for leveling. I use Herald of purity + Maim support + Lightning Golem and Discipline with EB. It works well. PoB says that my character have 37% of unreserved mana, i will try a curse with blaphemy. Very fun to play with this witch.
Hey,

Thank you for your awesome guide.

I got lucky and looted a Shavronne's Wrapping. It looks fine to me concerning arc build, but I'm not sure. Should I try to sell it and buy another chest, or should I keep it ?

Thanks :) Best curse to add would be Enfeeble.

Grats! You can sell that Shavs and are a huge step closer to affording Inpulsas.

After some more tinkering I came up with this Tree, which takes both the 4 Point clusters on the top right that give both ES and Life which should be the most deseriable Survivability Clusters with MoM and should probably taken very early on to be able to take MoM Early as well and get a lot more tanky.

http://poeurl.com/cjMq

I would put off the big 5%er Life Cluster on the bottom left for later in the Build for the mentioned ES and Life clusters on the right. That saves a lot of Points that are needed just to get down to the bottom left which are precious during leveling.

Additionally I have maximised the taken DPS nodes to maximize the damage output according to PoB.

With Basic gear + The Devouring Diadem + Inpulsa I get about 537k DPS on Arc: https://pastebin.com/41ny7UeL
(I only changed the Level 90 Talent tree because I wasn't as competent with PoB when I started this)

You have to get the ratio between Life and ES+Mana right for MoM to work properly. Mathematically your ES+Mana should be a little bigger than Life / 0.7 * 0.3 . This will ensure that when you get hit your Life will run out a little before your ES+Mana, therefore not leaving you pants down without mana, but instead dead before that happens, and that was probably a mechanical error on your part then =P
