Glacial Cascade

I wonder if there's any chance of the damage being reworked such that, instead of having a cold component and a phys component, it'd just have cold damage with a %phys conversion. As is, only spell damage nodes help the entire spell, while elemental damage and physical damage nodes only help those parts respectively. Compare to other hybrid skills, like Lightning/Molten Strike and Poison/Lightning/Burning Arrow, which all have a single type of base damage and then a conversion.

There is no chance for there being a Conversion or Damage Based On mechanic like that.
(also, Elemental Damage would affect both values due to Conversion/DBO mechanics)

You can gain Cold Damage based on Physical Damage through Hatred. Now what would happen if that Skill also Converts said bonus Cold Damage back to Physical? It would add more Cold DAmage through Hatred, is what. Which then becomes Physical. Etcetera.

The Conversion/Damage Based On track goes Physical -> Lightning -> Cold -> Fire -> Chaos.
Not sure if Cold and Lightning are in fixed positions yet, I always forget. Either way, the rest is in a fixed position on the track due to, for example, Ice Shot + Avatar of Fire + Infernal Mantle.

would be interesting to see decrease aoe gem to help get more clustered hit on the enemy

Look at all of Conc's modifiers. Decide for yourself.
before a patch, answer was no difference for number of overlapping hits (2 or 3). haven't tested after patch but should be same as before patch if shrinking the AoE size, otherwise overlap is leaning towards the three hits.
While the amount of overlapping hits doesn't change, the AoEs are closer to eachother with Reduced AoE Radius. Pretty big difference when facing fat enemies.
since there isn't a standard counter like ball lightning 200ms per hit, glacial cascade really feel uneasy to use as there's no accurate dps counter in place...
Used this skill on my witch last challenge league (rampage) It was great from the first moment i got it (lvl 10) until late in endgame (lvl 88 for me)

One of the best and most fun to use spells in the game in my opinion. It was a blast to play with.

I love these hybrid spells. In this case half physical/half cold. More of these spells would be highly appreciated.

edit: i give this skill a 5 out of 5 rating. now that apparently the terrain/stairs problem has been fixed.
