1.1.0 Patch Notes - Sacrifice of the Vaal

Pretty good changes all around as I see it

BUT

Since iiq becomes legacy in all it's forms, shouldn't they also put a hard cap on it Like 100 or something?
This all sounds awesome.

Anyone who complains about leagues or not having enough currency. You are probably just not that good. Like people complain about flipping items. Anyone ever play D2? Has anyone heard of "action rpg" or "item find game".

You kill stuff, you get items, you get currency. Items get identified. They are either good or they suck. Vendor or trade?

If you dont like this concept - and dont think you should have to work to make money - then go play Diablo 3 or Titan Quest - im sure you will have alot of Fun!!

PRAISE THE ALMIGHTY CHRIS WILSON (KEEP UP THE FUCKING GOOD WORK).
Seems like they are ristricting critical hits to physical damage.
Here's why:

- Physical damage is not restricted to 8.8% leech as elemental damage is. Sure, they are releasing new implicits that make it possible to get elemental leech from gear, but we would need about 22% total leech to be as effective as we were before, which seems a bit far off.

- Vaal pact is now more usable for life based characters, making armour stacking a more valid option than before. This increases the effectiveness of physical crit builds to a point that might even offset the vaal pact nerf. Elemental damage crit characters do not have this option as 75% (or in some cases a bit higher) still remains the resistance cap.

This is just first impressions tho, and maybe there will be a way around it. What do you think?

SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
"Continued to incrementally improve the sound, art, effects and environments."

always love this, and picking out the new details that are added. :)

the changes to the marauder and scion area seem like a much-needed nerf. (we'll see after testing it of course) but the scion seems like now itll be less of a master-race and instead just a class that can still be built to be anything, which is great!

(without actually getting to fiddle with it yet)so far, im very impressed with the passive tree balancing, not sure about the further crit multiplier nerfing in the tree AND on weapons though...but at the same time some of those builds were doing ridiculous amounts of damage at endgame and with the elemental damage buffs hopefully elemental builds will be more viable instead of most everyone going crit.

"Deshret's Vise has been renamed Meginord's Vise and the Attack Speed penalty has been removed from it. Old versions will not change."

it looks like the answer to this question will be 'no' but it still seems a little vague to me since this unique wasnt mentioned with the others which CAN be divined for the updated stats (or some of them-bor).- Will divining an old deshret's vise get rid of the reduced attack speed modifier?? im curious because i use it with my potcg build.

"Reduced the implicit resistance values on hybrid strength/intelligence shields."

so the 24% all res shields will now be legacy i suppose?

my fav though :) :

"Fixed a problem that could cause crashes on certain Creative sound hardware."

yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

(and nothing on fishing...im convinced its already in the game. we've gotta figure it out!)

also hoping for a big POE message on steam's storefront announcing the patch as ive seen with other f2p games. hopefully thatll bring some new players in!

That's like having your girlfriend walk in every patch with that omnious look on her face, expecting you to notice that she cut off 1mm of hair here or there...

OH YEA HONEY great new look (the fuck I didn't notice shiiiiiiiiiiiid......)

I might not be the most experienced player but it does drive me up a wall when changes really only have an effect on players who haven't yet farmed insane ammount of loot or currency with the current system.

Fact to the matter is everyone who hasn't done so, is now in major disadvantage just because of way GGG decided to go about things. You can tell me to start on a new league, wich I might do but having said that why would I have to start from scratch to be on even grounds in terms of what comes to earning currency? Why am I not allowed the same chance than you were?

Furthermore since unique changes do nada to existing uniques, it furthermore just increases the distance between players who have farmed and haven't.

Now if you are one of the players that have, then I salute you. Good job.

As someone who has a passing interest in PoE every few months or so, I haven't, unsuprisingly, and feel somewhat let down.

But if it does make the game more popular then I suppose its good for GGG and that makes it okay. I understand that they're out to make money. But I highly doubt that starting from a position of major disadvantage will make the game any more enjoyable. As you must understand that if you play the game for 4 months, you'´ll get returned to Default in wich you're instantly inferior to everyone who has a legacy unique and currency earned by MF.

Except that's all on you, it's entirely your own fault that you feel inferior (or jealous?) in the perma-leagues. What do you want GGG to do here, really? Ban everyone who is richer and owns better gear than yourself?

There's no competition or ladder-climbing in the perma-leagues as there is in the temporary ones so there's really no need to feel inferior.

Try playing the game for fun once in a while.
