1.1.0 Patch Notes - Sacrifice of the Vaal

PoE Nerfs:
1) nerf every popular build until it's too much of a hassle to even pick up
2) Introduce a bunch of untested, theorycrafted new elements that may or may not work

DoTA Nerfs:
1) Nerf a popular build/comp until its slightly less effective yet still viable
2) Give room for a new meta to shine

Obviously one is better than the other. I've been playing this game since OB launched and I can tell you that every new patch is nothing but microtransaction, nerfs, and theorycrafted game elements that don't work in actual gameplay.
Regardless of "The game is hard or not," tons of decisions by GGG are ridiculous. We'll see if you're still here a year later to continue bantering that this is the best game NA.

Yes this is PoE. +flipping trade game and your characteristic is 100% accurate . ^^

No changes to IIR. Disappoint. More path of summoner & IIR.

I keep hoarding legacy uniques, lel. But should have bough AA I guess, care.

Still path of trading, path of grouping, path of gambling & no-crafting, etc.

Nothing about improving desync, area layout to minimize desync, graphic optimization.

PvP still bad.

More RNG layers we don't need.

Only interesting things are changes to Vaal Pact and maybe tree changes.

I don't see new players coming AFTER the patch giving much of a fuck about legacy uniques.

Who in their right might goes: "Hey I thoery crafted this cool build with these items, but that other dude has a mod on his unique that I can't get and that doesn't affect the build I want to make, but that's a turn off."

+1

How about, "hey your build looks great - I wanna make a char like that"
"don't bother i'm using 3 Legacy items, that's why it rocks"

The new player should just feel grateful that they could even view that build in use. Think of it as an endangered species instead of a threatening oddity. What it comes down to is this is just jealousy and although it might not be fair in PvP terms its also not fair to take items away from people. The problem with the economy of perma leagues isn't legacy items, it's that perma leagues are permanent.

Beware, you could look stupid in 2 days according to the future steam ( lol ) charts.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Totems need to be buffed, not nerfed. It is already quite weak and niche, this ridiculous nerf is counter-intuitive and shows the lack of experience with GGG's balancing team.

What balancing team?

There are like 2-3 people who doesnt listen to smart people and probably dont even play the game. If they would play the game they would see noone uses totems cause they are weak as shit compared to many other things.

lol
I honestly don't get your nerfing fury against Item Quantity, GGG. Do we really have to spend hours and hours to get something? no thanks.
I am not saying that everyone expects a rain of uniques, but at least, something playable and enjoyable.

And yet, every 4 month league has their own OP builds.

That is how balancing works dude. Todays OP is tomorrows bottom feeder.

And only buffing doesn't work. You get power creep way too fast.
