1.0.1 Patch Notes

okay so after 70+ pages of reply - I doubt this will get read, but I'll add my 2 cents anyways...

First off - the "trend towards solo" is absolutely accurate.

I had a lvl 81 Scion Spectral Thrower - that I was doing group maps with - first off, outside of having a guild, it's extremely extremely hard to find really solid players that are able to handle lvl 70+ maps that know what they're doing... Most people are doing 66-68 maps. In a group, the increased health was not worth it.

It was much faster and MUCH more efficient for me to do the 66-68 maps solo. I was able to clear through mobs solo, get my drops, and get out - rather than having to be concerned about carrying 1 or 2 people that might not have been quite ready for maps.



As far as Cast on Damage Taken - I think GGG likes to try and stay away from builds and skills that are an ABSOLUTELY NECESSITY - and that's what CodT had turned in to. If you didn't have CodT in your build, you were doing it wrong. The fact that I could have my CodT spam Endurance charges, totems, and curses every second meant that I had to worry very little about defensive playing. I don't think that was the intent of CoDT, but rather to be a spell that augments particular builds in particular ways...


I like the direction they're taking with everything - now the Purity thing, that might be a bit tough for solo players - but TBH - I think it was pretty rare for solo players to be running purity - since solo - you were usually running Grace/Determination and Hatred (or some other offensive aura).

Ya, not sure why Cleave got hit with the nerf bat. Nerfing Cleave while at the time adding Spectral Throw made no sense. Un-nerfed Cleave didn't kill any faster than Spectral Throw, and Cleave is melee and Spectral Throw is ranged.

Because almost every popular streamer is running some form of ST, can't piss of the streamers. If they ran Ele Cleave when it was popular they wouldn't have touched it.

Your player base is fickle. To test them is financial suicide.

Just your attitude over the handling of this gem CoTD from release to destruction in a 2 week period has destroyed a lot of your credibility.

Or you can wait to see your shop sales plummet if you don't believe me.

The game was fun for a while but I can see a pattern developing which is not desirable for me.

I have never been a fan of the nerf buff treadmill and if I am forced to play that, there are more polished games out there to play it with.

I know your op build finder buddy kripp likes making new builds every 5 mins, but not everybody does.

Good luck with the future of GGG. If you keep this up you will surely need it.

Likely the best possible nerf to CoDT. In my opinion, it should have never even existed since it automates the gameplay far too comfortably, which is unlikely what you wanted from it. It's surely enjoyable to have things pop automatically, but it's a stupidity mechanic. The game should be manually demanding to be as effective, chaining manual casts based on the situation. Not just take a random hit and pop molten shell, enduring cry for max charges, drop a decoy totem that takes 5 hits to kill or something else. Far too primitive mechanics. Consider removing it altogether please, there's no real fixing it aside keeping it in some grey area of usefulness.

So if I'm reading this right, if we leave the race rewards from this season in their remove only tabs, we would theoretically be able to pull them out in some random 4 month league 5 years from now?
Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled that we have a choice of which current league the rewards will go to, but this seems like it will encourage hoarding of race rewards and clutter the hell out of the stash tabs (assuming the system continues to be where a new tab is opened for every new race reward you get).

I agree with this.
Why not change the gem so as you level it, the damage taken requirement goes down?
It just feels like we are being pushed to play certain build that GGG want us to play..I mean the wander build for example thats almost impossible now..like cleave got nerfed? why? right before ST was released? thats a bit strange its like they want us to play ST to buy the damn new ST effect doesnt that make sense?
And again nerfing CODT is rubbish i think they where just bored and i want to see the data they claim to have for "testing it with dif builds" so they must have tested it with every possible scenario with every build witch in my opinion is BS cause there is always gonna be something that you dont expect and if CODT could have for example save my chars life during one of those rare happenings Im gonna be pissed
