Did anyone tried a double curse (ele weak and conduct) + max shock build, to make a main-Arc char viable for maps? Example build

That's the standard. You go Arc totems + curses + cast rate + shock stacks + traps.

I'm not going to post any links, lol. Why would you need it?
I personally haven't seen a single streamer or a posted build that uses a double void battery, and yet I know those guys are out there, and the things go for at least a 9ex each.

Therefor you can't back up you claim, that Whispers of Doom + Arc is THE standard...again, is there a Whispers of Doom build, which farms maps with Arc as main spell (= NO Spell Totem, NO Lightning Mines).
why you guys even try to make arc a main spell? I mean its clearly intended as a shocking tool, that you cast a few times, get everything shocked and nuke away with other spells.

My favorite combo is arc + summons + detonate dead. You arc shock enemies, summons get a few kills and you finish em off with a empowered-through-shock Detonate dead.

My self arcer tried double curse, but not with Whispers, although farming maps is far from possible for me.
two curses do not impact as much as I'd hoped. mainly because i lost a lot of survivabilty using the ES from my boots while using the +1 curse boots.
but there was an increase and I will try again with 2 curses when i find the ring with the +1 and have more survivability.
Again the base damage of ARC is still sooo low ...
Forums are SOOO much fun on patch day!

Casuals play because it's fun, not to achieve any goal unreachable with their resources.
We are playing for the next difficulty, the next keystone, the next item upgrade.
Not to feel better than anyone else.

Just read through this thread.. Any person with common sense uses curses with arc.
And why would you handicap yourself and not use spell totems and mines?
Just tested the arc for shock stacking and I'm really disappointed in that how it works with chain. It says that this skill has 50% damage effectiveness and while chain is reducing damage by 50% why they aren't interacting correctly. The damage reduction from chain should be 25% in this case, the same way as it affects damage increments.

It makes my "AoE" Shock stacking impossible with this skill. I hope you change the interaction with these values.

What no. That's not how Damage Effectiveness works, it does not change the effectiveness of damage multipliers.
