Holy Flame Totem
8% Increased Totem Damage also applies to the Chaos Damage from the Added Chaos Support. 12% Increased Fire Damage does not, for reasons that should be obvious. So yeah, Totem Damage is decent enough.

Complaint About Flame Totem
1.Damage Effectiveness 20%.... 2.Critical Strike Chance 4%... 3.Totem Range = Tiny without projectile speed nodes or faster projectile gem The only scaling that seems to work on flame totem is with crit however the crit chance on it is quite horrible and spell crit nodes are scarce i love flame totem.. but currently totem nodes are horribly positioned spell crit is horribly positioned and scarce... cant this gem get some more love? | |

thinked i am going to be just fine with 8 sec duration but i am actually pretty annoyed...didn't look at skill tree yet but i hope for some duration nodes

" it already is the fact that a totem is already out dpsing most skills is just plain stupid. totems give you so much survivability by nature because you have the freedom to kite everything while doing damage + they act as decoys not to mention you can get 2 of them with ancestral bond its batshit insane. For quest area levels, it seems most of the other totem spells are much weaker than the Flametotem, which discourages to try and keep other spells with spell totem support gem.
Currently FT is strong against single target and also as area damage. IMO if the projectiles do not pierce, this skill will be balanced well. Last edited by Oiranoiccid on Jul 15, 2015, 10:09:14 PM

FT strong on low-map only. Crit-multi nerf, shotgun nerf - dps < 40k per totem. It's joke for hi-tier maps & bosses. Nerf totem aggro & CWDT setup - survivability down.
