my first race lasted 8 min

lvl 2, lvl 3 and now lvl 6 xD yeah i am a pro racer too but it is fun to play races sometimes even if i know that my char is gonna be rape in it.

Are you sure it wasn't desynch? Read the forum: Desynch seems to be responsible for 99.9 percent of HC deaths.

No worries, I often run in circles, then stop working after that much coffee.

my first Descent race started with a Shadow as well, and I did a lot better than I expected.
ran out of time in Tomb Of Statues at level 9.

second race? not so much lol.

everybody kept saying "Duelist is so OP in races" so I gave it a go.
exploding bugs.
dead on level 1. lasted just under 1 minute :)

got angry, and made a Templar. entered 2nd area. champion Voidbearers...
2 characters dead in under 10 minutes.

I did restore some Duelist honor in race 3: set a personal best by running out of time after entering the monkey caves. Cleave is great :)

And yes, cleave is great. Running a duelist w/cleave on normal and it IS great !

My second race went much better.

I finished level 9. And I have, count them, 1 whole point for the season :-)

And I still played a shadow (although I was _very_ tempted to play a templar too).

This time I was probably too cautious. On the other hand I beat at least 3 bosses and survived. I'm just stunned at how fast people can go. When I was 3 somebody had alread hit level 8. I can't wait to find a video of a good run just to see how that works.
