0.11.0 Patch Notes

I'm using an aegis aurora build. I have 3 k health 2 k es and 10k armor now. I think my build is cool the way it is. Buffing armor might make it a bit too powerful. I hope you put that in consideration while buffing armor.

No desynch fixes = no support from me.

You should read Chris' post on desync. You can have desync or delay. It's one of them, you can't get rid of both.

Demanding a fix for both of them is like demanding to be able to go watch a game of baseball AND be able to pause it (pause the game, not the broadcast.) In fact, it's even worse because in theory you could do just that but there is no possible solution to the fundamental problem of desync.

Only time I will defend Diablo, and I've been playing this game longer than D3 even though I waited for it for years....

But the only thing D3 has going for it was how smooth combat was, both physically and visually. I don't remember having any kind of desync type issues in D3 or latency problems (besides the occasional server hiccup or something like that, which really is something every game experiences every once in a while).

I know Blizzard resources are ridiculous, but I don't think you can say it's "you can have one but not both". It's clearly been done.

tell me if im wrong but....

WHY does GGG make a stat on the character screen called : Estimated damage reduction % ..

then make it that it doesnt work in that way... an estimation is calling 50%, 55% or 45% its not going around calling 50%, 10% now is it?

the ONLY buff and change with regards to balancing the damage would be to make the phy dmg reduction from armour do what it fcking says on the character sheet.

where is the sense in lowering monster damage and ALSO lowering player life/es + damage.

it sure as hell wont make monsters hit you for less % life/es than it did before.... it just fcking means that now you will leech less life + leech it slower OHH and ALSO it means life regen is fcking total bullshet now... my skills hp usage (with BM gem) is not even covered by my hp regen so far i only have 180 hp per second regen..... this will surely drop to 120-140 which means death for me when i use skills.

why dont you actually bring about some nice changes into the game and fix this shit before it gets out to the public in a patch....

do one of the following : increase life regen % nodes (and no im not talking about 0.1% more life regen on the nodes =.= )

increase life leech cap to reflect ES cap.

DECREASE blood magic gem multiplier to 150% at level 20.

either of those 3 will make many many people in this game feel alot better about the coming changes.

I am a bit concerned about melee been overbuffed. I didn't think the gap b/w melee and ranged was that big before the patch and the amount of buff this patchnote indicates could make melee completely op.

It's possible. However, it's not like it'd be hard to go back on. It'd only mean adjusting damage from passives after all.

I really appreciate the feedback, but it'd be more meaningful if given after you've had a chance to try your characters under the substantially different 0.11.0 balance.

There will be future large balance changes in the future. Where possible we try to batch them up like this (and especially time them with a good time to try new characters) so that they have less impact on people's active builds. It's our intention to continue to rebalance and improve the game for many years. This will come through both new content and changes that allow more types of builds to handle the existing content.

So much this.

Shut the hell up until the patch is actually out.

So, you cant calculate 1+1 in your head but need to actually write it down on paper? Because thats pretty much what you sound like.

To be fair, we have no idea about most of the numerical changes. Yeah the spark crit chance and nerfs to passives are set in stone, but no one knows how much the damage on FP or EK has been reduced. Neither do we know how much enemy damage has been nerfed.

I don't mind them nerfing things to increase build diversity, especially without introducing power creep. THAT would be a death knell for this game.

Well, you will be losing both life and ES when the patch hits...

Well then you are one lucky guy. I know people who still experience huge rubberbanding on a regular basis.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

A quick question, will the changes to the bandit quest apply to old characters? ie. i helped oak do i get the new bonus or will i keep the old one? for the sake of possible respec this would be nice to know :)

other than that, patch looks awesome!!!!!
The guys/girls over at GGG dont stop at amazing me over and over again.
The work they put into this game and its (sometimes frustrating) community is nothing short of amazing!

we will just have to see wat all the changes bring, imo EK will probably not be nerfed cus of the increased phys options and Spark was just over powered (over 3k dps tooltip with full rarity/quality gear on)

the only thing im woried about is reflect, less life and less resists against only 2% less damage reflected

3k hit = (20%) 600 reflected (-85% resist) = 90
3k hit = (18%) 540 reflected (-81% resist) = 102,6

only fast calculations there but it does seem that we need to be more carefull since our HP/ES has been reduced aswell
If the balance changes to mob damage / HP bias / DMG nodes are as good in game as they seem on paper, then waiting for this re-balance was worth the wait and then some :)
