Well, I was playing (through Steam) just fine at launch. I closed my game for a bit and tried to get back in after this "hotfix". I now get the same error as everyone else and cannot get into the game.

I would says it's pretty obvious that this is an issue with the "hotfix" and not with Steam as it was working just fine before they decided to hotfix.

If you are currently in game and playing through steam, do not leave the game until they apply a hotfix to fix their "hotbreak".

Come on guys, don't make me go back to Diablo 4

GGG, this hotfix bricked the game for many people. Lets get another one going lol

Endless loop of login errors after a hotfix

game haven't worked after patch since crashing, even though I keep restarting and downloading the patch over again.

After i update my game, i cant join anymore. login error.
There has been a patch that you need to update to. Please restart Path of Exile.
and the game mark steam content as corrupt in order to force a recheck of the patch, but there is no patch
