Going to try the game to see if it is still bad...

It's still the slowest ARPG in it's class. You still get 1 hit all the time. I would honestly love for GGG to give us some stats after the free weekend of how long it took the free players to get through act 1 and how many deaths on the boss. What % of them made it to end game. Now that would be fun.
Enjoying it every minute. Love how it feels like when PoE started open beta. You just go into new unknown game and see what it will give you. Try with what you find, experiment, exprlore, die, die die so many times but going further to see how far can go.

Tried another character. Not playing the prescribed, preset build that GGG has designed for us. doesn't work, feels bad.


I actually like hammers in RPG's.

I wish I could play a warrior guy that attacks the enemy with a mace.

Instead we get a guy that hits the ground with his hammer to summon earthquakes and explosions, lol. I hate it so much.

Give us an actual warrior style gameplay.


Spears are so cool, its a shame GGG has turned them into elemental wind benders or some bullshit.

Everything feels so limited.. I don't feel like I am trying to create a build, but rather avoid all the annoying shit, which then leaves you with barely anything to make a functioning build.

nonetheless, I'd rather play a barely functioning build then sit there parrying and shooting whirlwinds and wombo-comboing all these extraordinarily convoluted attacks. It's so tilting.

How did you mess the basic recipe up of melee. If melee felt like melee but was underpowered I bet i'd enjoy this game a lot more. Instead everyones underpowered and melee feels likes like a clunky not-melee build. Adjust the numbers and make spear/hammer really strong and that wouldn't solve the problem. The problem is there is no melee gameplay.

Give me big hammer. Let me hit enemy with big hammer.

Hammers right now are an earth caster style gameplay.

Hammers should have basic attacks with cool shit attached to them. You should be breaking the enemies legs with sweeps, overhead strikes should crumple and splatter enemies with overkill damage etc

Make it feel like a warrior. How is GGG overlooking this?

Are there any melee players feeling the same thing? Where the fuck is the melee gameplay. There's "melee" tags attached to skills, but they dont feel like melee.

Why is werewolf exclusively frost? Why is it so restricting? What about bleed?

Why attach every modifier to the skill itself.

CREATE DUMB, BASIC SKILLS and let the player use supports to turn them into what they want.

Why are the skills so convoluted that they make attaching supports feel awful and pigeon-hole gameplay.

ugh.

It's a mess.
my poe1 league start:
- can play whole week 18h/day and have fun
- no life any league for 2weeks straight
- have my own league start rituals and it feels like christmas time as a kid

poe2 league start:
- boring, slow and tedious
- took me multiple sessions to beat campaign ~10h (was so boring)
- im so bored of doing 1hour of interludes (or what its called) that im nor sure i want to even get to maps anymore.
- i really wanted to like this game but i just cant, i may still tomorrow get to maps and end game but man im not sure xD

feels bad to buy support packs in future when that money goes to poe2 (mostly)

pray for 3.29 patch next month :P

No. First one was 0.4 on free weekend. And i got my EA keay after that.

By "unknown" i mean "unknown to me with all its mechanics and all".

Yep, fully agree.

The only true warrior playstyle i felt was with Shield Charge before it was nerfed. back when it has a cooldown.

I could charge into bosses and see a quarter of their life disappear. then strategically avoid attacks and reposition to attack again.

It felt very impactuful. It felt strategic. I felt like a warrior.

Since they removed the cooldown they nerfed shield charge's damage so much that it does less damage then a basic attack.

They forced us to move to Shield Wall which is a clunky combo skill where you basically put annoying brick walls in front of you while you move just to hinder your movement.

And it also makes killing mobs very impersonal, just like you attack the ground with Earthquake you attack Walls instead of attacking mobs.

Warrior playstyles died with the Shield Charge nerf.
I love it, everything from the campaign to the endgame.


Is it perfect? No, but it's close; I would love a higher mob density and slightly slower combat.
