This is not to determine that the majority of players play more as one character. But to show you that there are definitely more as 0.01% of players actually playing more as one character per league in a normal case.

The only exception is for people which lack time to play another or which fear the campaign, since they never invested into how to cross it in a fast pace.

I do not believe the number of players playing multiple characters is 0.01%.

I do believe the number of new players, who are not willing to spend money for stash tabs, and are making many new characters a league, AND feel like they cannot manage storage space is 0.01%. Just like its not really something on radar, although I do believe it is a valid point, just not really something I expect they will care about.

It's a step backwards for gamers, but a step forward for making $$$. Let's be honest, they are making this game to make money. Cosmetics I guess at least pay for themselves, but I'd be surprised if they made GGG more money than stash tabs.

People hate P2W stuff. But the general feeling is that stash tabs are not pay to win...but that was long ago. You can't play this game into the endgame and not buy stash tabs. And with every update they add more garbage, in the hundreds with this one, and sometimes they release a new tab to "organize" it for you.

They are simply making the game P2W without the connotation of being P2W. And this takes priority over good design.

I have no problem with the stash tabs to be honest. I think supporting the game company is worthwhile because they are the best game devs I have found who make a large style live service game. Not to mention supporter packs double down by giving the full amount as in game currency to spend as well as cosmetics on top for free. The monetization, despite still being "monetization", is quite generous instead of predatory by comparison to most games I find.

My perspective on stash tabs comes from after playing two full leagues on the starting 6 stash tabs. Like it is super manageable and I found I could store multiple items for further tinkering as well as all my runes and orbs etc. You just have to purge more often and unfortunately cannot do huge chains of maps and just look through the items later. When you bring stuff back it meant often needing to filter through then and there for sure. But yes the tabs are meant to make this process MUCH better and yes they do help. It is money well spent.

I suppose I sort of ignored P2W accusations with my addressing of what you said. P2W is not what I would describe this as when you can literally pay for POWER in other games. Think gem-ing bases in clash of clans or diablo immortal. This power gain is NO WHERE CLOSE to the gain from convivence from stash tabs. Sure you can store more orbs with less thought and it WILL save you some amount of time but u can still use the affinity system with the basic stash tabs it is just not as good. Over the course of a league you will likely lose 2-3 hours of life spent extra sorting that could have been avoided with the stash tabs. But in the grand scheme of what P2W could mean this is literally NOTHING.

After a quick walk away from the computer to make food I realized I missed 1 TRULY P2W tab.

That is the merchant tabs these turn item drops INTO money and it is the only way to do that. I mean sure that is fair if you want to point that out. Item "bloat" is literally manageable with free filters and personal decisions regarding each item with many characters being a semi annoyance for sure.

Counterpoint, the early access was pre-buy 30 dollars of in game currency and PLAY FOR FREE basically. Any other game company would have happily double paywalled that shit idk.

At no point in my time following GGG have I thought them as predatory.

Sry but I have to correct you in that. Premium tabs still exist and were for a long time the stashes you needed, but which required people talking to each other and you being online AND there is another possibility.
