Definitely agree. If there are no new weapon skills besides the new "ultimate" new resource spending ones (didnt look the greatest to be honest) then I really don't see the motivation to play this league.


Oh god. This made me facepalm so early into the stream.

Do they not realize how scuffed their combat/stat design is? and they're adding another layer?

Don't get me wrong. I see exactly what they might be trying to do. Normalize everything. Everyone gets a Ward get out of free death card. Everyone gets a Ward spending skill.

I just don't see that as a good thing. Instead of fine tuning defense systems they're adding a global death gate to gloss over the problem. Reminds me of Warframe Shield Gating.

And lord help you if you aren't able to play the first few days of a league. You might as well sit out the entire league in that case. The market/inflation happens so fast you won't be able to trade for items either.

Let's be honest, crafting bench these days looks very dated. It feels almost like a command line mode for crafting where you just have some tools to put on affixes but you can move it to any other game and it would look exactly the same.
While I'm somewhat excited for see storylines of revamped league and new main endgame questline I'm really dissapointed overall because the game most shitty mechanics are getting layers of cake instead of getting reworked fundamentaly:
- zero hope for "meaningful" combat which was the main reason i got in this game since i don't care much about arpg(another was its aesthetics)
-visual clarity is going to get even worse
- nothing a about a major skill/support balance pass for 0.5 at least
- getting 99999 new crafting mechanics is really making everything feel even more convoluted and needing to spend even more time on 3rd party tools and sites to play optimally.
- defenses including resistances, core attribute are a prehistoric joke I can't believe still exists in this form
-real economy issues aren't touched (rarity, measures to stop market
hyperinflation in 7 days or less etc)
-not a single new class(=weapon in this game which is also fascinating) but that was to be expected.

other than that, we dont need 350 crafting mechanics, but new classes, weapon sets, some SSF target farming...
after reveal i was actualy trying to find pirated version of poe2 0.1 to download.
